Mahalo Hostel was a beautiful place to stay, with quality facilities for cooking and storing food, which made longer stays comfortable and convenient. It’s also well located on the island, making it easy to get around and explore. One of the standout highlights of my stay was the breakfast, a great start to each day and a lovely touch that really elevated the overall experience.

“Very nice experience in Ilha Grande”
The location, nice cozy feeling, very good and filing breakfast, it is easy to talk and meet people, the staff spoke English The room was small and comfortable, nice hot shower and very strong hairdryer (very happy with that!)

“Wonderful Stay on the Island”
I really enjoyed staying at this hostel on the island. The staff are very friendly and provide lots of helpful travel information. It’s easy to meet other guests and make new friends to hang out with. There’s a place to dry your clothes, which is very convenient. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. I had a great time and would definitely stay here again next time!

“Nice hostel on Ilha Grande”
The hostel staff is very nice and helpful (even though they dont speak english that much). The location is good and the rooms are clean. I liked the free breakfast.

“Avoid the 3 level bunkbed”
Staff: everyone is very friendly despite working way too many hours (same people seen at 8am for breakfast and at 10:30pm when they close the common area ; some seem to be living on site in a room on the ground floor, which wouldn't help having clear schedule separation between duty and off time. Good breakfast. And 3 electric plugs at my bed.
