Everything was perfect!

Super convenient area - able to walk to the black lake from the bnb, and close enough to go into the town for dinner. Beautiful spot, super lovely and cosy room, and really lovely and kind host!

Wow! What a place! Peace and tranquility in such a beautiful unique cabin. Goran greeted us with such hospitality. A lovely bottle of wine was waiting for us too. Goran made us a home cooked meal on the first night in the tiny little bistro next door. It was magical. The cabin has everything you need and more such as old records to play and multiple comfy pieces of furniture to enjoy the wonderful views. We also walked to the Black lake from our front door! Thank you Goran!

Goran is the host you'll want when visiting Dormitor, trust me, just like we trusted him :) Our stay exceeded our expectations, not only because of the apartment and the meals Goran prepared for us, but also for his suggestions and to be able to enjoy this nature's gem in Montenegro! Incredible place! The house is very well maintained, super clean and comfortable. The view is stunning! Our host Goran was very friendly, helpful and made us delicious breakfast. I especially liked the authentic interior, full of ancient objects that brought me right back to my childhood stay at grandparents 🙂

Goran was an amazing host, very attentive and available whenever we had a question. He made us breakfast and dinner two of the nights we stayed, both were delicious and the portions were generous. The apartment was clean, cozy--we had everything we needed. Location was convenient to hike to the Black Lake and other lakes on foot--no need to drive. Nice view from the apartment and it was fun to have apéro on the porch.

“Feels like home, very cozy”

Mountain Story feels like a home, not just a house. It has soul, with vinyl records, a cassette and CD player, and a great vintage music collection. The kitchen is fully equipped for anything from pancakes to baked dishes. The first floor is perfect for dining and chatting, with two terraces: a big one for meals and a smaller one for reading. Upstairs, there’s a bedroom with a large bed and two smaller beds. The owner, Goran, is polite, knows the town and trekking trails, gifted us a bottle of red wine, and even gave us a free ride to the bus station at checkout. Definitely want to return and spend another 3-5 nights in this cozy place. The town is a 40-minute walk or 15 minutes by taxi (7 euros) to the center of Žabljak.

“Little haven of peace in the mountains”

We stayed at Mountain story for 2 days and it was a real little haven of peace in the mountains. The host Goran is very welcoming and we had a king's breakfast prepared by him. He knows the mountain very well and will be very helpful for the activities you would like to do. One of our favourite places during our holiday.

The place is beautiful, and Goran is the best host I've ever met. He is very friendly, always available to help, and most of all, he is a great cook, preparing the best breakfasts and dinners in Montenegro. The house he built is very beautiful, it has a lot of character, and it is super cozy. The place is very peaceful, you get the best view from the little terrace, and, on a clear night, you get to see thousands of stars. It is very close to some nice trekking and in half an hour you get to the Black Lake.

The house is built from old and new wood and tree trunks have been used in a creative way. The decor is colorful and original. The location is right next to the Durmitor NP. A walk to The Black Lake is less than half an hour. Cozy terrace with beautiful view. The shower was powerful and heated up quickly. Goran is an energetic and sympathetic host.
