With garden views, Maple village is situated in Žabljak and has a restaurant, luggage storage space, bar, garden, outdoor fireplace and picnic area. The property has lake and inner courtyard views, and is 10 km from Black Lake. A truly stunning place to stay that I would recommend any day over staying in the main town. The view from my bed overlooking the mountains was simply breathtaking, and the hospitality and quantity/quality of food was brilliant. Host also had helpful tips about local road closures and things to do in the local area.

Conveniently located close to Žabljak town for any shopping you might need. The huts are cosy and comfortable, with very comfortable beds that made for a great night’s sleep. Stojen, the owner, was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great advice for our onward travels and even sharing some hidden local spots with amazing views 😉 The homemade dinner was absolutely outstanding, and the breakfast was generous and delicious. Wine was very reasonably priced, and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere—especially the great conversations over dinner, accompanied by a few shots of rakija. Overall, a very relaxing stay. I’d highly recommend it, especially if you’re planning walks or hikes in the area.

“A little piece of paradise in the Durmitor mountains”
If you dream of waking up to mountain views and total peace — this place is perfect. The house is surrounded by nature, there’s nothing but silence and fresh air. Mornings are beautiful — mist, light on the peaks, the smell of pine trees. Inside, everything is new and super clean — windows, furniture, bathroom — but made of wood, so it still feels like a real mountain cabin. Cozy, warm, and with that special feeling that you’re really somewhere wild and beautiful, not just on holiday. Breakfast and dinner – made with love Dušanka and Tatjana cook incredible meals. Breakfast is a small buffet with everything you could want — cheeses, meats, pastries, fruit, juices, even local dishes to try. Dinner is homemade, served with care, and changes every day. Everything is so tasty and feels personal — they really treat you like family. Perfect balance between comfort and nature Even though you’re up in the mountains, it feels like a proper boutique stay. The rooms are warm, the beds are soft, the view is breathtaking. You can tell the hosts truly care — they’re always kind, smiling, and ready to help with anything. It’s not just a place to stay — it’s an experience. Calm, warm, real. I left feeling completely recharged. Would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Durmitor.

I'm not sure what I expected when booking this place, but I definitely don't have any major complaints! Breakfast was yummy, the area around the chalet was nice to walk around. It was cozy, peaceful and quiet. We didn't do everything we planned to in Durmitor because it rained quite a bit during our stay, but it felt like a nice ski-town with a "family" vibe. The dinner we asked the hosts to prepare for us was also phenomenal. There were only 2 of us in the chalet and we had more than enough space, although more would also easily fit upstairs. There were also more than enough towels, blankets and cutlery. Finally, I can't say enough nice things about the responsiveness of the hosts. Thank you for the hospitality!

A separate lodge in the mountains, very beautiful place, next to a national park, easy to get to and find, the lodge is pet friendly, and quite comfortable. It has its own little kitchen with cute cups, a fridge, and a fireplace.

“This is one of many trips to this paradise!”
We loved being slightly away from the busier areas, and being able to walk out of our door right onto the foothills and the road heading up to Durmitor. The cabin was so warm and comfortable and the swing out the front very relaxing! We were also adopted by a gorgeous local dog.
