The hotel is located outside of Žabljak, so you need to have a car to get there. The hotel staff was great (except for one guy in the restaurant who, for my taste, was a bit too pushy); they gave me great support with my excursion. The room was basic but clean, all the equipment was pretty new, and I found everything I needed. The hotel has great surroundings: a quiet mountain meadow and peace. They have great facilities (sauna, big parking). The breakfast was perfect!

We really enjoyed the location of the hotel — it’s in a quiet area surrounded by nature, not right in the middle of town, which made it very peaceful. The staff were wonderful, especially Ivana at reception, who was extremely friendly and helpful. She gave us great tips on hiking routes and local activities, and thanks to her we enjoyed two of the activities she suggested. Another colleague who also enjoys hiking was very helpful too. I also appreciated the flexibility of the restaurant service — being able to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel was very convenient

Large suite on the top floor, nice view. Staff was kind and breakfast was good (salty). Sauna was included and was OK.

Good location for a hotel nearby Zabljak but not in the town centre, free parking, friendly staff. Kids enjoyed the trampoline.

Polar Star is outside the town which for us was a plus, as it was quiet and we had stunning views facing out to the mountains. It did mean a drive into town but that wasn't a problem. We particularly liked the indigenous architectural style of Polar Star Hotel in keeping with the local houses. We were grateful for an upgrade to a great room with good facilities and everything we needed, especially a kettle + fridge. The housekeeping team kept the room spotlessly clean. The staff - wait staff, reception, housekeeping – were very welcoming, efficient and professional but also friendly. They certainly made the difference to us. The food was fine - the a la carte and a special buffet with a delicious goulash. Breakfasts were comprehensive with buffet and hot food cooked for you. We liked that there was food from the region. We were there slightly out of season, in between the skiing and summer seasons, and what we discovered later, was that by rights the place should have been closed for a Saints' Day (early May). But the manager kept the hotel open (including kitchen and bar staff) for us and a few other people. That had a slight impact on the ambiance. But we were grateful that it was kept open as everyone was so welcoming and we enjoyed our stay. It is worth noting that some restaurants in Zabljak were also either quiet or closed to celebrate each family's particular saint.

The hotel was amazing. Very kind people at the reception and restaurant. There is also a sauna for relaxation after a long day hiking in the mountains. It is very close to all the major attractions. The receptionist(s) were extremely helpful. The restaurant staff made sure everything was well taken care of. Plenty of parking space. Morning breakfast and buffet was delicious 😋

Good breakfast (included) and dinner (reasonable prices, good selection). We booked rafting through the hotel and the receptin person took care of everything (including uniqe question we had).

Good base for exploring Durmitor national park; 5 minutes drive outside the main town. Good standard of hotel, has a restaurant. We decided to stay for an additional night and were able to keep the same room. Good breakfast buffet included.
