“Explore the beautiful nature reserve from this STF Abisko Tourist Station!”

For nature lovers, this is a wonderful place. The complex is located a 5-minute walk from a train station. There are many marked hiking trails that start right outside the door. Three meals a day are provided, and there are always vegetarian options. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. There are cozy seating areas, a fireplace, and art on the walls.

Location was great. Close to the station and easy to walk to, the town is also a manageable walk of 2kms. And it is well-lit, so safe to walk. The choice of activities is also great! Go out every night if you can afford it, but if you can't, being in the backyard will give you a good viewing of the northern lights. Be prepared to be up until wee hours of the morning. It is worth it. The staff was excellent, the best part of the stay :-) I didn't take breakfast. I didn't realise I would be the "hostel" side of the hotel. While I knew that the room would be dorm-style, I didn't realise the hotel was a two-tier hotel and hostel. Make sure to check this when you book, and if you want breakfast, book it or ask. The ablution facilities were sufficiently clean and regularly cleaned daily.

“Great little place”

Everything was great. Plenty to do. Loads of different areas to chill. Room was basic but comfortable and clean. Bathroom just needed a little updating but apart from that all good. Was nice and warm after being out in minus 20 conditions all night.

It was at the best location to go for hikes and to see the northern lights by walking towards the lake behind the accommodation.

Great and cost effective location for a family holiday in the national park. Great restaurant for breakfast and dinner, albeit expensive. Nearest shop around 30 minute walk and was poorly stocked due to it being the Christmas break, but overall it has everything you need to access the national park and enjoy the outdoors.

Amazing location and nice and clean place

Comfortable cabin with great views - this stay is all about location. Excellent position in Abisko National Park with walking trails on the doorstep. We were even lucky enough to catch the Aurora.

Would have preferred a washing machine in the cabin. There was enough space for it.

Best location for Abisko. You can start your hikes from the property itself. Good options for the breakfast and lunch buffets, and nice menu as well for dinner. There is also a bistro if you want more casual food and drinks. You can see the northern lights on a clear night just by going outside. During the day you have a fantastic view of the lake. The boutique on the hotel premises can do equipment rentals and has excellent choices for hiking needs (from clothes/shoes to camping tools). They even have a water refilling station with cold and hot water for thermoses. The staff are very helpful. There’s also a mountain guide in the morning and evening who can give advice on hikes and activities in the area. The hotel rooms are on the small side but comfortable, clean and functional. Shower curtains in the bathroom but they have squeegee mops to keep the floor dry. Overall a great base for Abisko

What we liked the most was the location and the beautiful views.

Hidden mandatory fees, including around EUR 50 for bed linen and approximately EUR 160 for cleaning at check-out, were not disclosed at the time of booking. The room was not properly cleaned on arrival, and beds were not made despite pre-booked linen. This information should be clearly communicated at the moment of booking.

Being in the heart of Abisko National Park was an amazing experience. Having the opportunity to take easy walks toward Lake Torneträsk both day and night… you truly feel like you’re inside a winter dream. The facility has created very enjoyable and unique spaces in its restaurants and other relaxation areas.
