Overview
This hotel is in Abisko, just 2 minutes’ walk from Abisko Östra Train Station. Abisko Mountain Lodge’s in-house restaurant Brasserie Fjällköket has a seasonal menu based on locally sourced ingredients. 2 km away from us you can find Abisko national park and the Aurora Sky Station. From Abisko Mountain Lodge you have several different trails you can do day hikes Rooms at Abisko Mountain Lodge include free WiFi and a private bathroom with shower. Cottages feature a kitchenette and private toilet. The shared shower facilities are located in the sauna and relaxation area, 30 metres from the cottages. In the lounge bar you can sit and relax in front of the fireplace. Staff can help book ice climbing, dog sledding and guided hiking in Abisko National Park. More adventurous area activities include heli-skiing, snowshoe trekking and Northern Lights safaris.

“It exceeded our expectations, room was very comfortable, restaurant superb, service great.”
Breakfast was superb!! We had dinner and it was excellent!! Totally Gourmet! Pricey but worthy it. The waiter was so nice and provided general information regarding the northern lights and Abisko in general. Too bad we only stayed one night as there was no availability. We moved to another lodge that was way more expensive, and not better.

Nice and clean room. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Free parking. Cozy bar, fireplace, nice music. Delicious breakfast. Very friendly staff. Could see the northern lights outside of the hotel.

“Excellent snowy relaxing getaway with exceptional hospitality”
Just enjoyed 4 nights at the Mountain Lodge. Not a luxury hotel but one of the best holidays we've had with great location, some of the most friendly and helpful staff we've come across on our travels, and very relaxing and informal environment. Enjoyed time outdoors doing activities in the snow but also relaxing in the lovely cosy lounge area with woodburner, and in the dining room with freshly baked breads every breakfast and excellent meals at night. Not forgetting the freshly baked cinnamon rolls available during the day. A suggestion may be to add a daily "special" main course once or twice a week in the evening meals as choice of 4 starters, mains and desserts (all of which we tried and were excellent), means for longer stays you're eating the same meals again. Had one superior room in the separate block and one twin room in the main block. Beds very comfortable and rooms and all areas very clean and no TVs which was nice. Free wi-fi. Booked again for next year.

Convenient place to stay in Abisko. It’s relatively easy to find nearby spots away from the lights, which makes it good for observing the northern lights. Another nice bonus is the free public sauna, with separate facilities for men and women. Dinner is worth trying. Although it is relatively expensive, the quality makes it worthwhile. We had Arctic char and moose tartare as starters, and reindeer stew as the main course. The tartare and the stew were excellent and really stood out. The fish was good as well, though not particularly memorable.

Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds and pillows. Very good lunch and dinner menu with vegetarian options. Breakfast plentiful. Comfortable lounge and bar area.

You can walk up 2 minutes behind the property to the helipad to see the northern lights. Breakfast was superb.
