Good location, lovely large balconies, spacious modern penthouse apartment, excellent blackout curtains, room service breakfast was a lovely touch and great service (they put in effort to accommodate our vegan dietary requirements too), the shuttle was fairly priced and convenient, communication by message was prompt, nice standalone bathtub and very good shower, drinking water restocked daily, large comfortable bed, good smart TV so you can login to Netflix.

The room was comfortable and clean, security on the property was good, and breakfast was complimentary during my stay. Check-in was smooth.

The Roots Hotel in Abidjan was the perfect choice for our stay in Abidjan. The rooms were clean, spacious and very cozy. The room service did a great job in keeping everything nice and clean and it was very responsive and quick about any requests for additional kitchen items or the like. For breakfast, the hotel offers a delicious buffet with a vast choice of varying dishes. The most positive and appealing aspect was the friendly and helpful staff as well as the owner of the place: they are very forthcoming with ideas for any kinds of errands (if you don't know the city). The owner even drove us to a local market with her car for last-minute grocery shopping on our last day in Abidjan, as it was on her way anyway, and offered us to prepare a room just for us to being able to take a shower before our flight back home. In short: I can absolutely recommend the Roots Hotel!
