Breakfast was fantastic. Heather catered for a Vegan and Vegetarian requirement perfectly. Lovely presentation, well thought out choices and couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy/satisfied. The Accommodation was beautiful and in a lovely spot. Nice and quiet area yet only ten to fifteen minutes from Aberystwyth. We were treated to home made Welsh cakes, evening nibbles and pleanty of tea or coffee durring our stay. Heather was a superb host.

Heather was very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. We had good advice about places to eat, local attractions and how to find them. The bed was very comfortable and breakfasts were good.

We cannot recommend Yr Hen Ficerdy enough – we had a wonderful stay there with Heather. She made us feel so welcome. When we arrived she provided a drink and some Welsh cakes in her garden and then took us to our room that looked very comfortable and inviting. It was full of light, and we found the bed very comfortable. There was a separate bathroom next door that was perfect. Heather provided amazing breakfasts with so much choice. We particularly liked her homemade granola, yoghurt and stewed summer fruits. There was choice of other cereals and fruit and a variety of hot beverages and orange juice. Also toast and croissants. Very helpful to us was Heather’s recommendation for a place to have an evening meal and we took her at her word in Aberystwyth having a meal at Glengower Hotel, near to the Cliff Railway.

What a fabulous host who made us so welcome with plenty of tea and cake and delicious breakfasts. Hope to stay again soon. We loved the private lounge to relax. Next time we hope the weather will give us chance to enjoy the sun chairs in the garden.

We had a wonderful stay ,it has to be the best B& B we have ever stayed in. Rooms very comfortable, and peaceful. Heather ever so friendly and attentive,and makes amazing breakfast ,fantastic choice.. Local pub within walking distance doing excellent meals .Would certainly go back ,it's highly recommended.

We hired the whole property for a family trip plus two dogs for Easter weekend. The house was lovely and the property was outstanding. It was clean and the interior was really nice. We couldn’t believe how much space there was with the separate living areas, conservatory, dining room and kitchen. Location was also great too. Was a short drive to Aberystwyth and easy to access further afield places. The host was also very nice and was happy to help with anything.

The property is situation about 5 miles from Aberystwyth in a lovely quiet village. Wasn’t sure how to gain access at first but was able to figure that out! Milk in the fridge and tea / coffee / sugar for a welcome drink was a nice touch especially as I had forgotten to bring. Plenty of towels, facecloths, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel also. The house itself is very spacious, plenty of room, tastefully decorated and feels very homely. The heating was easy to control on the wall ( was a little chilly on arrival as rads were off upstairs) but heated up nicely. Beds were comfy and everything was spotlessly clean. The only addition that would be helpful is some handwash in the bathroooms.
