Cute, cosy and comfortable. Bigger than expected, especially the bathroom. Bed was comfy, the heated blanket was a real treat! Walking distance to 2 distilleries (Aberlour and Glenallachie) and the town itself. No oven but gas hob and microwave but all required pots, pans and condiments. Great comms from host. Would stay again!

“A magical bothy stay”

This place was heaven on earth!! The place is beautiful, so clean and had many delightful small touches (I loved the robes). The bathroom was the best I have ever been in and has now set the standard for my dream bathroom. The place is a short walk from the main village where you can get really good Chinese food and there are many distilleries within walking distance. The hosts were responsive, kind, and helpful - you can see the care and love they have put into the place. Perfect for our honeymoon stay and we will be back again :)

The Bothy is an amazing place to stay as it's very quirky, cosy, clean and has lots of extras to make your stay very enjoyable. Michelle and Jody have put so much thought into making this a memorable place to stay. Communication was great and the hosts are so friendly and welcoming. This was our 2nd visit and hopefully we'll be back next year.

“A memorable stay”

The Bothy was full of charm and quirky design which gave it a lovely character. I smiled as soon as I walked in and thoroughly enjoyed my four days there, it was delightful. The hosts couldn't have been more helpful. The shower was great and the bed comfy, the kitchen was fully equipped and the little fireplace was a wonderful treat when it was overcast outside. It really enhanced my experience in Speyside, enjoyed my stay very much.

The bothy was such a surprise. The presentation was delightful. We were very impressed with the quality of the furnishings and the cosiness of the accommodation. The location is excellent for visiting distilleries,the cooperage and also the Knockando woollen mill which we highly recommend .

We fell in love with this beautiful place! We are both whisky lovers and the decor was perfect for that. It's so cosy, with enough room for two of us. Everything was so well thought-out with such attention to detail, and we absolutely couldn't fault it at all. We also loved the fresh milk in the glass bottle in the fridge which we enjoyed the first morning. Michelle and Jody were so kind and welcoming, and were the perfect hosts. The location is perfect, we were within 15 minutes of most places we wanted to visit and only 20 minutes from Elgin and all that had to offer, as well as a 15 minute walk from Aberlour but when we were at The Bothy it was so quiet and you wouldn't know how close it is to everything. Would recommend a visit to local distilleries, and the walk to Linn Falls via the river and back direct to The Bothy via Glenallachie Distillery! We will be back again, thank you for a perfect stay.

“Wooden wonderland cocoon”

This is an imaginative space which for me was a special cocoon. I am a whisky fan and so many items made from ex whisky casks. Hosts have thought of everything in set up and supply of essentials. All very comfortable.

Nice location, not too far from Aberlour town centre, very cute wee bothy with lots of character, really clean and comfortable with all the facilities you need, would certainly stay again.

“The hobbit house.”

The location which allowed for a good walk into town. The oddity of it, it was as if someone was allowed to use their imagination, diy skills? and any piece of timber available whether it was an old whisky cask or off cut of timber. The wee black spaniel.

Had an amazing 2 days. The bothy is small but had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Amazing bed we had a great sleep. Location idea just a 15min walk to town. Michelle was a very welcoming and helpful host.
