We have been to this location before and always liked it. This time there were new owners, and we were very satisfied with them as well. We also stayed in a different cottage this time, and we liked that one very much too. The beds were comfortable to sleep on, although we Dutch often find them on the short side. The bedrooms were larger than you find in many cottages. We consider it a wonderful base for exploring Speyside. The owners also live on the property and are easily reachable if you have any questions; they are happy to share their tips on what to find in the area.

The accomodation was incredibly dog friendly, with pets being thought about rather than being an inconvenient addition. The rooms were big and beds were comfy, everything was beaurifully clean. Check-in and check-out was very simple. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils so we cooked twice in the cottage. Louise our host was very friendly and welcoming and easy to contact if we had any questions. Some complimentary whiskey and dog biscuits along with some milk and tea and coffee were lovely additions. The location is beautiful, ideal for exploring Speyside. It is off the main road so very quiet and there are some nice areas to exercise and toliet dogs outside the accomodation. If we are back in the Speyside area we will definitely be staying here again!

Well equipped, luxurious, and extremely comfortable. Thoughtfully supplied with spices, teas, coffees & fresh milk, card games, books and local information available in the bookcase in the living area. Kitchen was well equipped with crockery and utensils. Internet tv, Google play linked to Google hubs. USB & USB C plugs available in the main living area and bedroom. Loved the rain shower, and plenty of hot water, and the motion sensor bathroom light and the barn style bathroom door. On the ground floor there is a washing machine in the cupboard under the stairs. The bed room is spacious and the bed dreamily comfortable ( pillows like clouds).

What a place !!!! Myself and my husband have stayed in numerous airbhb/rental accommodation all over the world. Nothing matches this! When we arrived we were met by Louise, such a lovely, friendly lady, who explained everything about the accommodation. What can I say about the accommodation....... Fabulous, 5 stars. The decor is so charming, straight out of House Beautiful magazine. Let's start at the bedroom, serene and stylish, the linen was high quality, mattress so comfortable. The bathroom is exceptional, towels as thick as my arm, shower powerful and immaculate. The kitchen had EVERYTHING. Beautiful crockery, microwave, oven, high end wine/whisky/juice glasses, real high quality pans and trays, nothing chipped or cheap. All cleaning and clearing products provided Jars of spices, tea. coffee, sugar, milk (in a cute glass bottle) provided - EVEN 2 whisky shorts with authentic whisky glasses provided. The extra delight for us were the treats provided for our dogs. We had a bed with 2 cosy rugs, treats and bowls. We also had private access to an adjacent huge field for our dogs to run off lead, our dogs loved it. WOW! What a place.. I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Go for it, treat yourself xxx

“Awesome Aberlour”

Louise the owner welcomed us immediately on arrival , which was nice. Cottage was very comfortable all mod cons. Beautiful location, views of castle and countryside. Close to Elgin everything within a short drive for shops and entertainment. Beaches also within half hour drive.

“Perfect new year break, with added festive weather!”

We stayed in the Bothy, which is a beautifully decorated cottage for 2. We had the warmest of welcomes from Lou and Jan, having had a bit of a stressful journey with the snowy weather. As soon as we entered the front door, we fell in love with this property. The log burner was freshly stacked and the lounge cosy and comfortable. The Christmas tree and other stylish festive touches were stunning. The Bothy is perfectly proportioned, with a fully equipped kitchen, gorgeous bathroom and a lovely bedroom with views across the Glen. The snow on the trees and hills made it look like something out of Narnia!

Stunning lication and veiw, great and comfortable roons and property. The hostess is amazing, we are thankfull her for small Christmas gifts and decoration that made our Christmas holiday cosy and warm. We fiil there are as at home really.

The location of the property is stunning and property was part of some beautifully converted stables. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful and made it clear that they were available if needed. Everything was in place with excellent facilities and we only wish we were staying for longer!
