“Good base for walking and exploring”
Good size room, dated but clean. Lovely view of the swallows in the garden. Though we didn’t eat dinner at the hotel, there was a decent selection of hot and cold options at breakfast. Location is great, easy to find and on a walking path to Aberfoyle/Callendar - selection of shops, pubs cafes in Aberfoyle is about 10minutes away. Staff were all very helpful.

“Excellent and perfect for the lake”
Excellent breakfast, evening meal good. Staff brilliant especially in the bar and dining room. Room and buildings dated but perfectly adequate for the price, everything was clean and thankfully not a shower over bath.

“Very enjoyable three days”
The staff were lovely especially Georgie in the breakfast room. She was always happy, very attentive and welcoming. The room was clean and there was everything we needed.

Very dated hotel though rooms were spacious enough and reasonably comfortable. Beds were firm. Pillows were too deep and firm for me, but that is a personal thing. Good showers. Friendly staff.
