Overview
The 19th-century Fernbank House is set just 5 minutes’ walk from Aberfeldy’s historic village centre. It provides free Wi-Fi, Yoga and bright rooms, just 100 metres from the River Tay. Rooms at this 4-star guest house have traditional décor, each featuring a flat-screen TV and DVD player. Every room also has a private bathroom, a hairdryer, and free tea and coffee. The breakfast includes sausages and haggis supplied by a local butcher. Guests also have freshly made pancakes and fresh coffee, with special diets also catered for. One of Fernbanks owners, Tina, can offer guests personal Yoga sessions, in the onsite Yoga studio. Her husband, Jason, can guide you down the River Tay, in a canoe, to see the varied local wildlife. Set in the Scottish Highlands, Taymouth Castle is 5 miles from the house. Aberfeldy Golf Course is 5 minutes’ walk away whilst Gleneagles, home of the 2014 Ryder Cup, is a 30-minute drive.

“An amazing home-from-home experience”
Wonderful warm welcome after a long day travelling. We couldn’t have been made more welcome if we were family. Everything felt so calm and the room was a delight with a really comfortable bed and an en-suite walk in shower. Breakfast was amazing with many options from porridge to a full Scottish breakfast stack ( you need to be hungry for that one).

A charming and cosy home with comfortable beds, impeccable cleanliness, and well-equipped facilities in the room, including complimentary tea and coffee. I felt warmly welcomed from the moment I entered. Tina was incredibly friendly and kind, offering excellent recommendations nearby for my photography trip. Breakfast was delightful. I can't praise this place enough and have nothing negative about it.

Lovely comfortable, cosy home. The beds where comfortable, everything was clean. The facilities In the room where spot on, tea and coffee supplied. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked through the door. The owners are so friendly and kind, gave us some good recommendations of where to go with the kids. And breakfast was delicious. Couldn’t rate this high enough and don’t have a bad work to say about it.

“Great hospitality”
Tina our host was delightful. She also teaches yoga and my daughter (who was staying in a cottage nearby) and I had a yoga class which we enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were delicious. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the hills. The surrounding area, which we know well, has so much to offer in the way of walking, wildlife, watersports on Loch Tay, good coffee shops and restaurants and plenty of activities for children of all ages. We will be back!

“Don’t miss this lovely place!”
Tina and her staff were beyond excellent. Breakfast was delicious, and was always excellent. One point to mention is that it would be good to know in advance that when you book on booking.com a B&B the price that is quoted does not include the breakfast, which was £10 per breakfast. Tina made me aware of this on the first day and it was up to me to choose whether to have the breakfast or not, which I’m happy I did
