Elaine welcomed us warmly at the garage and guided us to the charming historic little house in town. She was very friendly and informative, sharing insights about the area. The house is perfectly located in the center of town, making it easy to explore. We enjoyed an afternoon walk through the clean and picturesque Karoo streets, taking plenty of photos. The built-in braai was a wonderful addition, allowing us to sit outside and relax until late into the evening. We truly wished we had booked more than one night—this is the ideal spot to unwind and escape the stress of daily life.

“Fantastic place to stay in Aberdeen”
Die Pophuis is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Aberdeen. The house is spacious and comfortable, with 2 large bedrooms, a fully kitted kitchen, and has a wonderful outside stoep with a braai area. The host, Erica was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the local area, and went out of her way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Would highly recommended!

Met at the house by Malinda when we arrived and given a friendly welcome. Old historic house with lovely spacious sun drenched veranda. We were very comfortable and everything we required was provided.

Highly recommended. If you are wanting to break your trip through the vast, wonderful Karoo, The Pophuis is an excellent option. Erika is super friendly and the 2 bed "Karoo cottage" is very quaint and has everything you need.

“100% perfect. Nice place to stay.”
Malinda was so friendly. On arrival she fetched us at Caltex garage. She showed us everything. She noticed we want to braai and we did not have any Blitz or a lighter and she offered to go and buy it for us. The POPHUIS was very nice to stay in. We enjoyed everything. We slept well and everything was perfect 100%.
