Overview
On the edge of the Brecon Beacons, these 4-star stone cottages have free internet and private parking. Tunnel Cottages at Blaen-nant-y-Groes Farm have a scenic location above Cwmbach. The cosy cottages and studios feature heated flag-stone floors and most feature exposed beams and wood-burning stoves. All cottages have a private entrance and a barbecue area with wonderful countryside views. The cottages have a modern kitchen with a cooker and dishwasher, and the studios have a mini kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and hob. All accommodation features a dining area, comfortable leather sofas, free Wi-Fi and Sky TV. The drop off for Bike Park Wales is on the hill behind the cottages and Zip World with the longest zip wire in Europe is on the other side of the valley, a 15 minute drive. From the bottom of our drive, a 20 minute flat walk along the old railway line brings you to The Rhoswenallt inn. We also have a Shepherds Hut situated in the paddock in front of the cottages. It has its own bathroom and kitchen facilities in the adjacent shed. Set in 15 private acres, the Cottages are a 15-minute drive from the Brecon Beacons and Merthyr, 30 minutes from Cardiff, and 45 minutes from Swansea and the Gower coast.

Gorgeous cottage, really lovely owners, great location and close proximity to local attractions like Brecons (also handy distance to things like Tesco for supples). Super clean and tidy, everything we needed for a few days away.

We stayed in the pod. It had exceptional views. The staff that greeted us were wonderfully friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Lovely location. The pod itself is a bit more secluded from the main cottages which we didn't realise on booking but was a much appreciated bonus

“Cute cottages & family run, animals a bonus”
Cute cottages, a lot of positives. So many onsite facilities including an outdoor seating & games area & the family run feel of the cottages feels welcoming. Horses, ponys, chickens, dogs, so if you like animals even better to stay here! We stayed in a cottage that would actually sleep a family with a few children or friends sharing, which is hard to come by.

“Pleasant stay, quiet, with some quirks.”
Cosey cottage with mostly modern features inside. Good kitchen, nice views of the valley. Owner went to extra length during water outage (which occurred twice on two separate days) to bring bottled water for drinking.

Warm welcome, small issues dealt with with a smile. Recently refurbished and the underfloor heating was a treat. We could have made better use of the communal area. Saving that for next time. The view is amazing.

“Amazing stay, great location and hosts!”
We had a lovely stay at the Melyn cottage. Everything felt carefully thought out, with attention to detail throughout. The kitchen was well equipped and of a high standard, the living room was warm and comfortable, and the bedroom was cozy. The heated floors were excellent and kept the whole place nicely warm. We especially appreciated the bathroom essentials provided, including a toothbrush, which was a thoughtful touch as we had forgotten ours. The view from the cottage was stunning, and just a short walk down the road we found a beautiful woodland trail along an old railway. The location is very close to the Brecon Beacons, and the hosts were welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. The area itself is quiet and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.
