This hotel is absolutely beautiful and very tastefully decorated. The staff are very friendly and Dan the bar man made us feel very welcome. We loved the feeling that everyone that popped in seemed to know everyone and it was a friendly atmosphere. We had food in the bar that was really tasty. We will definitely be returning to Aberaeron and most definitely be booking Y Seler to stay again.

Beautiful decor, location was central and hotel had lots of different areas to relax and dine. Free car parking right next door. The smell when you walked in was incredible and softest carpets! We loved the huge fireplace in the bar! Gorgeous!

The downstairs bar décor was lovely, and our room was comfortable. The food was ok, a bit bland. However, the cleanliness let it down. After the previous night’s crowd, the floors still didn’t look clean, and tables had visible glass marks and felt sticky.

Everything was superb. From check in to check out service was excellent. Our room was fabulous. Lovely views and so well appointed. Beautiful bathroom and a very comfortable bed. We were there to celebrate a birthday with friends and our evening meal exceeded expectations. We will definitely return.

“Superb gem that excels on all fronts”

This is an excellent place to stay. The staff is attentive and go above and beyond to help. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, with lovely big bathroom towels and great toiletries. We loved the bluetooth sound system throughout the room including the bathroom, enabling us to create the exact vibe we were after. Plenty of wardrobe space and two great, comfortable chairs to chill on. The bed was lovely and the pillows and bedding all top notch. Our room was said to have 'partial' river view but it was beautiful. The hotel bar and restaurant areas were beautifully decorated and always seemed popular and with a good buzzy vibe - even on a rainy Sunday and Monday in March! They have a great drinks selection (including fab cocktails) and the food exceeded all expectations (we had breakfast and dinner - both amazing). We have very particular dietary requirements (including dairy free and gluten free) and it was clear that these had been communicated to the whole team before our arrival and Rachel, Paul, the chefs and the wider waiting staff all ensured we were taken care of and had plenty of menu choices. The attention to detail on this front was truly appreciated. There is an understated humility about Y Seler but we would truly recommend you check it out ahead of other - possibly more well-known - establishments in Aberaeron.
