Overview
Next to Lake Abashiriko and a 10-minute drive from Abashiri Train Station, Hotel Abashirikoso features a sauna and hot-spring baths. The spacious rooms include a private bathroom and seating area. Guests at Abashirikoso Hotel can experience a Japanese room with traditional futon beds, or stay in a classically furnished Western room, some of which come with a tatami (woven-straw) area. “Faded rose, but good rooms and onsen”
Big, spacious room. Fantastic onsen with sauna, cold plunge pool, hot pools. Bikes to hire - though most are very small. Quiet location overlooking the lake. Easy parking.

“Great ryokan with a mix of indoor and outdoor onsens”
Nice ryokan with tons of amenities in the hotel. Clean and the onsen was very nice.

“Beautiful old hotel”
The hotel is old but well maintained. I like this Showa era style. The room is spacious, with good lake view. The staff are very polite, helping carry luggage and bowing to welcome guests.

You pay more for a superior twin room but the size, decor and view are superb. A beautiful combination of Japanese style and Western comfort. I only know about rooms in the main building. If you seldom splurge, do it here
