Everything was excellent. Beautiful garden, pool, hammocks, dining area. Dinner and breakfast both great. And the host was great too!

This has to be the best ambergris in the Camino del Norte. James is a wonderful host who provides a unique property, a wonderful communal dinner meal and great atmosphere. And breakfast is great too.

Awesome place...my best albergue on the Camino Del.norte. Fabulous dinner and easy access to breakfast from an early time Warm welcome and host gracious . Great beds and bathrooms with large outdoor area to relax in. 6km from Albadin so a long day but shortens the next day!

“The perfect Rest day spot.”

Everything. The host James cooked our meal from scratch. The old rustic cottage was perfect for it's location. No TV which meant that you ended up chatting to the other pilgrims. If I had known that it was that good I would have taken my rest day there.

The host and the meal - 10/10 Absolutely stunning setting and the alburgue is luxurious. You won't be disappointed if you stay here

The property was easy to find, it’s on the Camino path just down the road as you cross the bridge. The property is very homely and the communal dinner they serve was delicious. The beds and comfortable and with proper linen sheets- a luxury after a days walk. The bathrooms are also very clean with great temperature/pressure. There is not much more you could ask for on the Camino than what O Xistral provides, a pool to help with recovery, place that feels like a home and a delicious warm meal.
