The hotel room with windows to the street was very noisy, very hot without functioning cooling ventilator and the beds were very soft. It looks much better in the pictures than it actually is.

Nice small hotel at a convenient location. A short walk (15 mins) from the city centre. Free parking was available. Basic but ok breakfast.

​I am beyond disappointed with my stay at Hotel Platinium. This is not a 3-star hotel; it feels more like a poorly managed guesthouse where guests are an inconvenience rather than a priority. This stay unfortunately ruined the impression of the beautiful city of Aachen. ​1. Room Condition & Lack of Service ​The room was unacceptable. I was placed in a room with frosted glass windows facing a blank wall, which felt claustrophobic. ​No Housekeeping: During my entire stay, the room was never cleaned, and towels were never changed. ​Dirty Floors: The floors were so dirty that after the first use, the towels I placed on the bathroom floor were instantly stained. ​Ventilation: The bathroom extractor fan hummed loudly but provided zero actual ventilation. ​2. Sleep Comfort ​The bedding is made of cheap synthetic material, making you wake up soaked in sweat. Because the hotel is located right next to a gas station on a busy road, it is incredibly noisy. Opening the window for fresh air is impossible if you want to sleep, but staying in the room with synthetic sheets and no ventilation is just as bad. ​3. The "Breakfast" Disaster ​Breakfast was a "first come, first served" battle. ​You literally have to fight for scrambled eggs, and they are rarely refilled. ​No Juice or Water: For two out of the three days of my stay, there was no juice available. Even basic drinking water was missing at times. ​4. Location & Pricing ​There are no cafes or entertainment nearby—just a residential area and a loud street. ​Parking Scam: The hotel charges €15 for parking, while public parking right next door is only €6. ​Hidden Fees: They were very quick to demand the city tax, yet they couldn't provide basic breakfast items or clean towels. ​Final Thoughts ​It feels like the management's only goal is to take your money while providing zero service. Room was clean and had lots of space, comfy bed, kettle and a hot shower made it very pleasant. Breakfast was a good selection and a decent coffee machine.

The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast also good and staff was very helpful and friendly The hotel is 25 minutes walk from the city center, so a good spot to start roaming from. It is located at a busy road but you don't notice that at night.
