The family-run Hotel am Marschiertor offers comfortable rooms in the heart of Aachen city centre, just 350 metres from Aachen Train Station. It is less than 7 km to the German borders with Holland and Belgium. The bright rooms at Hotel am Marschiertor all feature cable TV. The en suite bathroom includes a hairdryer. It is 850 metres to famous historic attractions such as Aachen Cathedral and Aachen Town Hall. There are several parks in the city which can be reached with a short walk. “It’s always good staying here.”
I often stay here and it’s always good. Very close to the station which is useful for me, and an easy stroll down the hill into the Town centre. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. And good value for money.

“Nice staff, great breakfast, central and good price”
Nice to have proper reception with staff, at least till 22 hrs, after that entrance with key card. The low price which includes an extensive breakfast buffet is amazing. Just across the border in the Netherlands or in Belgium, one would pay five times as much. Hopefully this review won't change that :-) The neighbourhood, right near the main station, has some nice little streets with interestjng shops and café's (Franzstrasse) and is close to the old centre if Aachen and the Dom. My room looked straight into the trees, the windows can open.

Near the centrum of Aken, only 15 minutes walk. Clean room and comfy beds. Breakfast had a great variety and was of good quality.

Fairly basic hotel. Looks a bit outdated but was very comfortable and the room and facilities certainly adequate for a short stay. Coffee and tea were provided at a point at the bottom of the stairs. The location was excellent, basically at the entrance to the inner city. Breakfast was a highlight and very welcome start to the day.

“A relaxing place to be”
Quite charming in an old fashioned way, successfully keeping an older hotel going by judicious upgrades. For a single room, it had generous space including a mini sofa for two. Good breakfast, Friendly staff. Walkable distance to city centre.
