Our stay exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The accommodation was spotless and very well maintained — you could really see the attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness throughout the entire property. The food was excellent, with a great variety and consistently high quality. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. We also truly appreciated the staff, who were always friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Their professional yet warm attitude made us feel comfortable and cared for during the whole stay. The location was another huge advantage. It was convenient, peaceful, and offered a wonderful atmosphere for relaxation. The facilities were also fantastic and fully met all our needs. One of the highlights for us was the indoor swimming pool, which was open from morning until evening. It was perfectly maintained and created an amazing place to relax at any time of the day. Overall, everything about this stay was simply outstanding. We had a wonderful experience and would gladly return again in the future. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for comfort, excellent service, and a truly relaxing holiday.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Sonnenhof. The attention to detail is impressive and the entire place is perfectly organized. The food was a real highlight – consistently delicious. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. We couldn't find a single fault and would recommend it without hesitation.

“Satisfied beyond expectations”

We spent 3 nights in the hotel and were satisfied beyond expectations. Everybody was really nice and friendly – unfortunately, our German is not the best, but we were offered help of members of staff who speak Czech. We were also thrilled by the menu in their restaurant, both breakfast and dinner. Regarding breakfasts, they were delicious, and we were surprised that most of the things were in reusable containers without unnecessary plastic, for example, even yoghurts, butter and Nutella were in glass containers, which is also super aesthetic. Dinners were yummy too. Their chef Jiří is a great professional and it’s clear he loves cooking! We enjoyed everything they cooked, and we had no problems choosing main courses from the menu. We didn’t use sauna, but the pool was great. There were not many people in the area and the water temperature was ideal for swimming. Of course, it’s not for relaxing in the water and hanging out there, but if you want to be active, this is the place to go. We look forward to visiting the place again!

Located in surprisingly quiet area of Zwiesel, the hotel is nice and perfectly clean everywhere. Owners are very kind people and their sense of perfection is felt everywhere in this facility. Especially during breakfast which is really amazing and rich. Afternoon coffe / tea snack with tasty cakes, 5-courses dinners: Salad buffet, soup, appetizer, main course (a choice of three), dessert. All food here is delicious. Hotel has spa area with big pool & saunas and relaxing area aroung small garden pond with sunbeds.

The hotel is located in a beautiful area with mountains views, lots of greenery and flowers around. Perfectly clean, quiet and cozy like at home. Very comfortable bed and everything you need in the room. Super tasty breakfast with a variety of dishes. Lunch was buffet style and dinner was like in the best restaurant with appetizer, main course and dessert. Food was fresh and delicious. Spa area with saunas and pool were very nice in the evening. Very nice hotel staff, friendly and helpful.

Travelling from the UK, I guess this was a little off the beaten track for most British tourists in the summer but we loved it. The staff were very attentive. The breakfasts were excellent. The evening meal was traditional Bavarian food, very well prepared. We enjoyed the swimming pool. We wanted a week to relax in a hotel before a very busy schedule travelling around southern Germany and this was just right. The setting was idyllic, looking out over the Bavarian hills and we had a balcony to enjoy the views. We thought we would struggle in the warm summer without aircon in the rooms but the balcony meant we could leave the door open and keep the roller metal blinds closed during the day so all was fine. Just a few points of note to others - they don't do evening meal on a Sunday but we were catered for by a local cafe just a few paces away so this was not a problem. We didn't have a car as we travelled by train so we were dependent on the hourly bus service just a few hundred meters from the hotel to get us to/from town, it is walkable from the train station but uphill.
