“A great place to stay”

I initially booked for 3 nights and ended up staying 7 nights. The dorm was comfortable with mosquito nets for the beds. The bathroom was clean and had hot showers. They also provide filtered drinking water. The common areas inside the hostel were spacious, with a large padded area perfect for curling up with a good book. There is also a large wooden table that seats 12 and had a nearby outlet, so you can work on a laptop. For the digital nomads, this place unfortunately does not have wifi. The on-site restaurant has many choices and the food is excellent. The staff are really what make this place a pleasure to stay at. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Cameron and Fyness were particularly amazing, helping me experience local culture and teaching me some chichewa! The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, the beds were comfy, the showers were hit, free drinking water, the facilities and garden are very nice, at base of plateau.

Very nice place. People work there can help you with everything. Loved that there is always free drinking water available. They have a really nice garden and the food is very good.

Location is very good, close to the center and supermarkets. Garden and terrasse are very beautiful. Book exchange. Everything is very clean. Food is not incredible but ok...

The garden is lovely to sit in and relax. Good options for food and staff were very friendly. Hot water in the shower for the private room we stayed in.

“Beautiful and relaxed place right at the foot of Zomba Plateau”

Certainly the best accomodation in Zomba. Beautiful park-like garden with great mountain views and many places to relax. City center can be reached in 10 minutes by foot. The hike from Blend Lodge up to Zomba plateau is very beautiful and takes about 2.5 hours

“Nice place but poor food and no WiFi”

The lodge is well located at just 10 mins walk from the center of town and the garden on site is lovely. The private room has a comfortable bed and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Set in a beautiful garden with tall trees it felt like a peaceful hideaway. Nice staff and good food. Recommend!!

Great atmosphere and great food

Really cool hostel. Loved the art displayed and ended up buying a painting. The owners are really nice and friendly and both made the effort to come and chat with me and tell me about their business. Jonathan who worked at reception was also really friendly and helpful. The garden is really beautiful and all the food I had was delicious.

What a great place to stay. Comfortable, friendly, great location, great staff, perfect opportunity to meet other travellers. This is a special place, a special hostel. And the recommended guides are great too.

The location is amazing! Also, the garden is a really nice place to have a drink and chill. The food they serve in the restaurant is delicious. Last but not least, all the staff is truly amazing!

I liked the place, especially the garden outside. Great for relaxing. The owner and staff were friendly. And they've made the place in a way that makes you want to learn more about Zomba, I could feel their appreciation for culture of the town.

Reception stuff and the owners are really nice and helpful. They also seem to have a good vibe together. Food is very good. Common area, especially garden, is very nice and good for relaxing. It's not a far from a city centre - nice 15 walk though a golf course or longer higher in the valley.
