“Beautiful place to stay near La Ropa Beach (most lovely Beach in Zihua)”

Humberto & Jesus were attentive to every small detail; from the comfy bed to the unparalleled view and great breakfasts. The rooftop pool was perfect and we used it almost daily. They had nice touches like filtered water, lots of hangers in closets, well-outfitted kitchenette including coffee maker, fridge, microwave, room safe, free wifi and flatscreen TV with Netflix and ability to cast from smartphone. As well, clothesline and access to fresh linens at anytime for beach or shower. Lots of plugs in near bed. Assistance offered for taxis, dining, tours, etc. Lots of good eateries nearby, especially, Las Adelitas and Oxo variety store down street.

The Casa Arcoiris is a magical place - not least thanks to its hosts, Humberto & Jesus, both of whom have the uncanny skill of turning a traveller's choice into a magnificent home-like experience. I was given a stunning room with a private deck & kitchenette (a stone iguana curled up on the sink), and a view of the ocean. I could see the Pacific without lifting my head from the pillow - and when I worked in the late afternoons, I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful office, sunset and all. There was even outdoor lighting and an outdoor socket - perfect for writing & typing late into the night. Butterflies and birds by day, chirping geckos and cicadas at night. The room is tastefully decorated (not overdone) in Mexican style, with two calavera Catrinas watching over those asleep from a cinnabar wall recess. The shower area floor is lined with stones, two starfish perched on a sand-coloured wall. The room has everything one can ask for, refrigerator & hotplate to fast WiFi and sliding glass doors and A/C for the night. The property has a rooftop pool for communal use, with further gorgeous views of the bay - and of the hills on the other side, if you manage to get your eyes off the sparkling waters :) Breakfast was also a dream, with a different hot local dish daily, your diet restrictions taken care of. Jesus is a splendid cook. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to the beach; this also means you are close to the ocean while well away from nighttime beach party noise. The chacalacas are the noisiest creatures around :) It's a gem - I can't wait to go back. Should have booked a longer stay.

The location is isolated enough for relaxing and recharging, yet close enough to walk to the beach and restaurants. Beautiful scenery and amazing sunsets. Humberto and Jesus were incredibly welcoming and helpful only adding to our excellent experience.

“Very friendly place to stay with excellent view and close to the La Ropa beach”

The room had a small pool and dec right ourside our patio door. The view from there was lovely. The room was large with living/eating and sleeping area. WE appreciated the ability to do our own mini meals as well. The owner was very helpful with suggestions and telling us about the area. It was nice to meet the other B and B quests at brea_fast. Food was plentiful with fresh fruit and juice etc. It was close to Playa de la Ropa which is a great beach.
