“Excellent, but it highlighted the difference between western and Chinese hotels”
The staff were so friendly and could t do enough for you . Our room was fabulous. Large , very comfortable and super clean. It was tucked away in a side street so very quiet but extremely close to restaurants.

“Faded grandeur but great service”
This hotel was clearly designed with quite a lot of thought. It has some lovely furniture, some tatami spaces fitted with replica antiques for contemplation and sipping tea, and the rooms are large and clean. It was quiet and peaceful. The service was great - from the very friendly people preparing and serving us breakfast to the Manager arranging park tickets and driving us around at all hours, plus his colleague helping us get some medicines. We were given lovely fruit platters and cold drinks on arrival It’s close to the East gate of the Forest park and there also loads of places to eat nearby.

Amazing stay with very warm & attentive hospitality provided by the team managing the residence. Breakfast was wholesome and great. Rooms are lovely and clean. Special mention to 管家小黄, who went above & beyond in ensuring our stay is comfortable, catering to our respective special requirements / needs (diet requests, mobility restrictions, etc.) and sharing with us an experience on tea appreciation.
