Carol is the sweetest host ever. Extremely insightful. Took care of all the tickets and transport. Great food as well

Very nice rooms, located just 5 minutes from the ticket office!! Also a very nice restaurant attached with reasonable prices and big portions. The owner is super helpful, gave us so much information about the best routes and timings for seeing the park optimally. Since the hotel is located in yangjiajie rather than Wulingyuan (where most people stay) or Zhangjiajie city, you traverse the opposite way across the park each day than the majority of tourists meaning the queues are much shorter and you can fit more in! So definitely better to stay on this side.

“Perfect Stay to visit the National Park with very helpful and friendly host!”

Big and comfortable beds, incredible helpful owner that will help you a lot and explain you how to visit the national park in the best possible ways. They have a restaurant with tasty food. Good breakfast and Dinner options (maybe even lunch but I am not sure because I was in the mountains for lunch). I will definitely come back and will book again here.

Great accommodation, just at the Gate to Avatar Mountains. Carol, the owner, speaks fluent english, gave us all advice for the trips, booked tickets etc. Very good local food at restaurant just downstairs

“Amazing”

Staying here was amazing. The room is clean and just like advertised. The best thing about the hotel has to be how helpful Carol (one of the ladies who runs the hotel) is. She speaks great English and she helped us a great deal with booking drivers, organising our days in the park and finding alternatives in case of bad weather. She gave us great tips about lesser known parts of the park which aren’t even on most maps, which turned out to be the best views that we had. We got unlucky and the park was unexpectedly closed for 2 days during our stay and she drove us to the ticket office and even negotiated us a refund. The hotel is a lovely family run business and the food that we could order for breakfast and dinner was delicious. There were sockets that we could plug our european chargers into which was also a plus. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here because of the great hospitality and easy access to the park.

Amazing place, the best hotel we have been to so far. The room is very nice, bed comfortable and Carol is such a beautiful person, very helpful. We also ate the food her family and herself cook and it was very tasty. The location is perfect We highly recommand this place

Very nice personnel! Helpful with the tickets for the park, and great food. Even when I got bit by a monkey, the hotel helped me out with getting money back for insurance. When i was at the Red Cross they picked up straight away! Really recommend this place as it has perfect access to the park.

Really great place to stay to explore the avatar mountains! The host was lovely and extremely helpful in helping us plan the route/locations for each day. A very good location for the mountains but is quite far from the centre of Zhangjiajie & there aren’t any shops/restaurants nearby! Although the hotel has an attached restaurant with excellent food. They also arranged transport to the airport which was very useful given the location.

Carol is an exceptional host who speaks good English. She has a very good knowledge of where to go and visit in the Zhangjiajie Forest Park. Close (400 metres) to the West Gate Ticket Office. Serves good value breakfast (3 options) and very good value dinner.

Carol is absolutely fantastic, super helpful and kind- I really owe my amazing experience to her! Her mum in the attached restaurant is also lovely, food there was great, room was spacious and clean and comfortable. Perfect location for the national park with the avatar mountains and Carol was great at giving the best tips and route which meant no queuing! She was also wonderful at organising transport etc and was always there to help. Such a great stay- I want to come back!

Carol is a super host! She helped us a lot with planning each day and organizing our stay in Zhangjaijie. The hostel is very friendly and quiet. The location is excellent. Without a doubt one of the highlights of our stay in China!

It was in a great location for the west gate (5 minute walk) - coming from here was so much less crowded and accessing the Bailong elevator going down was so quick (walking past the other way meant you would be waiting hours). It was clean and quiet. The family are friendly and helpful!

Carol and her family are incredibly welcoming and always ready to help out (e.g. choosing spots to visit in the park, booking transportation, etc.). They offer in-house cooking that’s freshly made and also caters to vegetarian needs. It‘s also super delicious! Also, the Yangjiajie Ticket Office is less crowded than other entrances to the park, yet close to many sights.
