Carol, our host, was amazing! We had a short amount of time in Zhangjiajie and she helped us navigate the park every single step of the way to see the best sights we could and to avoid the crowds. The park was about a 5 minute walk from the West Gate entrance and Carol helped us book our tickets beforehand so it was smooth entry. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the Inn - the tofu in the Zhangjiajie hot pot was so delicious, it has been some of the best food I have had in China in the last 4 months. The bedrooms are clean and spacious. The four of us were upgraded to two adjoining balcony rooms which were very comfortable.

Carol the host was really great. She spoke perfect english and helped us book all of the tickets for the park which was very convenient. They also offered simple but delicious breakfast/lunch/dinner upon request for a reasonable price. A highlight was the three kittens that were there during our stay.

“Lovely Stay”

Everything. Carol and her family have made sure of everything we need and more. Location is great for anyone who loves quiet secluded stays, just few minutes from the park's west gate. Food was great too!

“Perfect location for the Zhangjiajie national park.”

The young lady was just amazing. She planned everything down to the last detail of helping us to get tickets and what to do on each day at the park. Also at the glass bridge and cannon and Tianmen mountain.

Five minute walking distance from the national park. Very friendly staff. Delicious and affordable restaurant food.

5-10 minute walk from the west gate (5 mins in the morning when you have a lot of energy, 10 mins when you’re dragging your feet after a long day of exploring🤣) There isn’t much food option in the area so the inn also has a little dining area where you can purchase breakfast, lunch and dinner (we had dinner — around 42 Yuan per person, meat dish with rice! Really good) But the highlight is Carol who is an absolute gem. Even before staying she helped us out SO much with getting our entry timings on the tickets (we booked via trip instead of her- wish we’d done it through her would’ve been easier!!) AND she helped us with itineraries so we could get the most out of our visit to the park. Pre-booked a car to pick us up from Zhangjiajie city and to drop us off to Zhangjiajie west railway station. Honestly recommend staying here so much!!!

Good location, great staff and a very fair price

The owner Carol and her family make this place ,unbelievably helpful and friendly The location, as it's on the west side of the park you are going the opposite direction of most of the other people who enter from the east

We loved our stay at Tongfu Inn. Carol is fluent in English and planned our whole stay in Zhangjiajie for us from ticket booking to providing us with detailed routes for the park for each day which also really helped us avoid any crowds. Big bonus point was the food at the restaurant, every meal we had was great. The room was simple but very cozy. I’d recommend staying at Tongfu Inn to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie.

The room was spacious, clean , with all the supplies you might need , the location is perfect to visit the Natural Forest and above all that, Carol, the hostess was very nice and helpful.

The staff was fantastic. Carol helped us professionally organize our entire stay. She provided advice and made reservations. I highly recommend it. The location is right at the entrance to the park—a less popular entry—so there are no lines or crowds.

Everything! Fantastic communication both before arrival and during from Carol. She is amazing and can't do enough to help you. A real family homestay. Great homemade food and comfortable accommodation. Definitely stay here if you want to be first in the park, and be given excelent advice, tickets, service etc. She even organised a driver for us to Yichang, a 5 hour journey!! Fantastic value. Comfortable and clean rooms, and it was a peaceful stay. Right next to the West Entrance which was quiet and, so was quick to get into the park. Staff was super friendly and helpful in booking tickets for the parks, as well as showing how to get around them.

Everything literally. The location was the best (3 minute walk from the west gate of the national park). The owner Carol was the most helpful person I’ve met in the country. She organised everything and even gave me step by step instructions and a map on how to navigate the huge park. She went above and beyond and even clarified things via messaging when I was in the park. The food served is exceptional and prices were great (you can’t not overeat, it’s so good). She booked every and any daily transfer I needed. Note : she speaks perfect English which is a bit rare in China.Overall I’d rate my stay there higher than perfect if it was possible. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very cheap for what it had to offer.

“Zhangjiajie visit”

We felt that we visit a friend. Carol and here team arranged us unforgettable vacation. She took care of us from the moment we booked the accommodation, she arranged us the entry tickets, transfers, and transportation to the scenes. The Inn has a great location, it is only a 5 minute walk from the entrance of the park. We highly recommended the Inn, the greatest asset is Carol whom we thank this great time at Zhangjiajie.

Perfect location to visit the park (just 5 minutes walk). Easy communication with the owner and she is so nice and helpful. Helps you organize your trips to the park and buys you the tickets. Cheap breakfast and tasty dinner is available at the accommodation

“A++ for hospitality”

Carol was super sweet. She made us feel welcomed the moment we reached. She was really helpful with providing any extra info for our trip. She even helped us book taxis whenever needed. We went in late December so it was pretty much freezing. Carol always took the extra step to make sure our rooms were nice and warm upon our return. Much appreciated!

“Good value stay!”

I liked that it was 5 mins away from the west entrance of the park. I could leave and get there once the park was opened to beat the crowd. The manager of accommodation, Carol was extremely nice and helpful. She gave very thorough and clear instructions to navigate xhangjiajie park and tianmen mountain based on the amount of time I had. She also helped arrange for my luggage to be sent to my next hotel which was nearer to where Tianmen mountain cableway was which is where I would have ended my trip. There’s food available at the hotel as well if you need simple breakfast and dinners.

Carol, manager of the inn, is an absolute star: immensely kind, available and knowledgeable, she helped us make the most of our visit to Zhangjiajie. The rooms are basic but clean and well kept. The inn is family-run, you can eat directly there and share stories with other travelers, accessing the park from a secondary entry that is less touristy and therefore gives you a less crowded itinerary. Highly recommended!
