No. 5 Valley Lodge is just a little bit of paradise - such a wonderful location and views and fabulous staff. Olivia and her team were so welcoming and helpful. The ladies in the restaurant and the tea room were all fantastic too. The infinity pool is lovely place to relax after days out in the parks. We visited Zhang ja jie nation park which is right beside the Lodge as well as Grand canyon and glass bridge and Tianamen mountain. We were so delighted with our stay in No 5 Valley Lodge.

The infinity pool was amazing! Especially at sunset. The restaurant was very good both for breakfast and dinner (and not expensive). The room was very good, peculiar and above our expectations. Last but not least the Staff was amazing, they all spoke English and they accommodated all our requests. Also a big thank you to Jasmine and the Teamaster for the unforgettable tea and calligraphy experience organised as part if our stay!

Amazing place! The place is amazing, fully in nature, great views from the room and the warm infinity pool. Best location to go to the park (west entrance), the hotel organizes everything including free transfer, step-by-step guide on what to do in the park. Everything managed through Olivia, the most helpful and welcoming ! She reached out to us through Whatsapp and helped us with everything we needed. Thank you so much!

We absolutely loved our stay at No.5 Valley Lodge. We were welcomed by Olivia, who right away made us feel at home. She and the rest of the staff, and off course Max the dog, went out of their way and did everything to make our stay wonderful. From helping us plan our trips to the national.park, driving us to the national park, baking cookies with us on a rainy day. Our loft was big and luxurous. The heated pool with views of the mountains and ricefields was amazing. The ladies at the restaurant prepared delicious meals every night. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!!! Thanks Olivia and all the others!

“Amazing stay with stunning views and incredibly caring staff who went above and beyond!”

We spent 4 nights at No. 5 Valley Lodge for our honeymoon and were blown away by both the grounds and the staff. The team were incredibly friendly and extremely helpful in planning our trekking trip to Zhangjiajie Mountain. I fell ill on our last night before travelling onwards, and Frankie and his team went out of their way to look after me, even taking me to a local hospital in the city. They also followed up with us after we checked out to make sure I was okay. We stayed in 2 different rooms, both of which exceeded our expectations. The views into the valley are phenomenal, and the heated pool was the perfect way to unwind after an intense day of trekking. Highly recommend. A bonus is that the lodge is positioned on the quieter side of the entrance gate, which helped us beat the queues!

“Beautiful place with wonderful staff”

A small, beautiful, authentic place that has soul and feels like home. The staff is fantastic. Caring and super service oriented. We were mostly in contact with lovely Olivia which was just overall wonderful. We enjoyed the food, the activities offered (my daughter had so much fun) mother Young’s tea ceremony, her kindness and knowledge. The view from the pool is breathtaking and even heavy rain one day was a ln amazing and calming experience. This hotel is simply a pearl that you shouldn’t miss. We would love to come back one day.

The heated pool is fabulous and was definitely the highlight of my stay. ​I want to give a special mention to Strive for her excellent service; she was incredibly helpful and made me feel very welcome. Frankie and his team are amazing, everything from sorting out all transport from arrival at the train station to dropping us off at the airport, all park tickets and routes sorted for us, the breakfast and food in the evening was amazing, the view from the infinity pool is unreal. Rooms spacious and super clean. I’ve travelled all over the world and this was one of my favourite stays ever!

Amazing staff so helpful, location is just fantastic, very close to the west gate but at the same time away from the crowds, food great :)

“Hospitable and friendly”

Received a warm welcome by Rain. Upon arrival I was informed that I received a room upgrade. This room was very spacious and had a lovely bathtub on the balcony overlooking the valley below. Great amenities in the room and on the property. Free shuttle to the park entrance. Couldn’t have been better.

“Perfect stay”

The communication was very good as soon as we booked this place. Very close to West gate. The overall feel of the place is amazing, beautiful scenery and rooms are amazing. We had an area dedicated to have tea ceremony in our room with a beautiful view. The food was freshly made and absolutely delicious. We also experienced a tea ceremony by a very knowledgeable tea master. Rain was fantastic- helped us book the tickets for the park with the best deal (we couldn’t that online). He also explained the best routes to take. Rain dropped us and picked us up from the park and made the entire trip very easy and comfortable. What a wonderful and peaceful place it is - absolutely loved it.

memorable experience away from the hustle of city. Enjoyed the home-cooked meals, tea and sweet potato roasting by the fireplace. Kids were entertained by the adorable dogs and cats in the lodge. Unique experience indeed!
