Overview
Opened in December 2012, Hotel Matterhorn Lodge is located in the historic centre of Zermatt. Decorated in a classic Alpine style, it features a wellness area with 3 different saunas. A ski bus stop is a 2-minute walk away. Units at the Matterhorn Lodge have 1 or 2 flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, a bathroom and modern furnishings. Some units have a kitchen or kitchenette, and some offer Matterhorn views. A rich breakfast is served every morning. The Matterhorn Lodge features a hotel bar and a ski storage room. A shuttle service to the train station is provided free of charge. Next to the Bahnhofstrasse and the Kirchplatz, it is 300 metres from the closest restaurant. The Sunnegga Cable Car Station and the Zermatt Train Station are within 500 metres of the Lodge.

“Lovely hotel stay”
The hotel is in central location, close to where the shops are and to the train station. The room is spacious, it has a bath tub although I did not use it, but those who have the time to do so it’s a good treat. The shower pressure! I love it. After long and exhausting day, a smooth and nice shower pressure relieves the exhaustion away! The staff are really nice.

This hotel exudes character. Beautifully designed with every creature comfort. The staff add such a personal touch; warm welcome, great hospitality and choice for breakfast. It also sits in perfect location for station and easy walk to trains and lifts. Yes you pay premium to stay here but worth every penny.

We stayed one night at Matterhorn Lodge Hotel. I have to say, it offers warm and cosy rooms with plenty of space, hearty breakfast, and great shower facilities. This hotel is high-quality because of the great attention to detail. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

“Don't look any further if you want to stay in Zermatt.”
The best hotel we stayed in during our tour of Switzerland - picked us up and dropped us off at the railway station in an electric buggy. The hotel was beautifully designed and decorated and in a great location. Our room was very spacious with lots of storage space and opened onto a lovely terrace. Breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an excellent stay

The Staff were outstanding. Tim, Reuben, & George were the staff we had continual contact with. The facilities and position are perfect. We highly recommend staying here, it’s 5 stars. George cooks the best eggs. Thank you.
