“A bit disappointing”
It had a nice restaurant area and the evening meals were very good. The service was good and friendly. The room was good and the beds were comfortable.

Simple Japanese breakfast and very tasty. Real filter coffee available. Lounge area with facilities for other drinks.

The location is excellent, only a 5 minute walk from the Zao Ropeway. Lovely traditional rooms with tatami floor. Had a very good sleep on the futon, it was very comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful. The onsen in the property is a bonus. Notice but big enough for 2-3 people and nobody else was there when I went in. Very relaxing and straight from the source. Perfect after a day skiing. Had a delicious dinner in the restaurant. Good mix of high quality local foods and some western alternatives like pizza. We left before breakfast so couldn’t comment on that.

“Clean simple Traditional Ryokan in very good location. for ski access.”
My family and I got ill whilst in Zao Onsen. The Lodge manager was very kind and helpful to us.

“Comfortable and enjoyable stay.”
Very friendly and comfortable lodge in a great resort. Breakfasts were great Japanese style. Easy payments credit card/apple pay.

“Good value for money for a solo backpacker”
Staff: very friendly and easy to approach. Service: a free public natural onsen is offered 24hrs and it was amazing. Location: walkable distance to cable station/convenience store/restaurants.

Close to zao chuo station but still need to walk few mins. Common area is comfortable than the room Onsen itself is good but the bathroom is old.

Yugo the manager is super friendly and accomodating! The onsen is great and the common area lovely and warm.

The location is convenient. The host is friendly. Food （Breakfast and Dinner） is delicious. There are many comics and TV games and Onsen facilities.

“Worth it.”
Not the best location but not inconvenient to walk around. Reasonable price. My room (202) could accommodate up to 3 persons but I would think it is too crowded. It has a toilet and sink in the room.

“The best service!”
The hotel has a nice communal area with games (nintendo) and a TV and a long table to sit cozy with your family/friends. We where welcomed by a staffmember and he was amazing! so friendly and helpfull. thank you 😊 🙏 oh and his cooking was amazing too!
