The room is spacious and impeccably clean. I especially loved the onsen—it’s the perfect place to relax, and it’s both spotless and very comfortable. The location is also excellent, being just a short walk from the train station.

“Relax in the onsen at the end of the day”
Great to come back here after a long drive to an onsen at the end of the day. There's optional private onsens but we used the main one. Parking was available and there were plenty of places to eat nearby. Rooms were basic for what we needed, very clean, with 2 Japanese style floor futons and a little table in the room was a nice touch. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Perfect for what we needed and it was lovely to wake up and see the cherry blossoms along the river next door.

“Near the river to explore Yufuin”
Clear directions of landmark to find hotel, private onsen, wide variety of bread and yogurt + eggs+coffee for breakfast. Can store luggage outside the ryokan after check out.

“Good Onsens and a relax place !”
The room was very spacious and clean. The staff were nice and helpful. They got both private and public onsens. After walking all day in Yufuin, we had a hot spa and felt relax !

It was a homely Ryokan. We enjoyed the happy atmosphere that all the staff provided. We thought it was lovely. It was super clean and the private onset facility was exceptional. They helped us with a super dinner suggestion and taxis.

It has 9 rooms in total. If you prefer quiet moments this is the place that you shouldn't miss. Their breakfasts are great and very considerate, too!

“A charming Japanese-style stay with friendly English-speaking staff and convenient location”
A charming stay with a truly Japanese atmosphere. Located not far from the food spots in Yufuin, with convenient parking just across the street. The reception staff were very attentive, and the team can communicate in English (we met a female staff member who spoke fluently). Nearby, there’s a ramen shop recommended by the hotel (Samurai Ramen – highly recommended and delicious). The hotel staff can also give you excellent suggestions for sightseeing in the area.

“It's a perfect experience for a first timer staying in ryokan.”
The onsen is authentic and even though I'm a solo traveler I still be able to use the family onsen which is first come first serve based.
