Beautiful and comfortable stay. The onsens were a highlight.

Lovely guy running the place who was very ready to give us lifts. The onsen was very nice and it was lovely to see the mountain out of our window.

We stayed for three nights in Yufuin at a lovely traditional Japanese guesthouse, and we had a truly unforgettable experience. The house had a charming, authentic atmosphere, everyone wore indoor slippers, and our room featured beautiful tatami mats, which made walking incredibly pleasant. The room itself was spacious and cozy, and we appreciated having a French-style bed, which added a touch of luxury compared to traditional futons. What made our stay so exceptional was the kindness and hospitality of the host. Since we had flown into Oita and didn’t rent a car, we assumed we’d rely on buses and trains. However, the owner generously offered to pick us up from the station and even drove us to various destinations, including Mt. Yufu early in the morning, saving us a more exhausting bus ride. It took only 15 minutes thanks to his help, and we were truly grateful. He always made sure we were comfortable and even offered to pick us up when it rained. His thoughtful communication and effort to speak English were really appreciated. The guesthouse also has two private onsen baths that can be used at different times. Since we were the only guests at the time, we could use them freely. Even before we returned home, the host had prepared everything so the baths were ready and waiting. We never had to lift a finger. It was just another example of how attentive and kind he was. All in all, we had a perfect stay! Warm, peaceful, and deeply relaxing. We would absolutely recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Yufuin!

There is a common room with free tea bags and water boiler. We knew that there will be no breakfast so we bought some breakfast sweets the day before.

The owner is super nice. The place is also very clean with good onsen.

The owner of the property Jeff is very friendly, he help us to carry and send the luggage back the property first before the check in time so we can go walk around without hassle. He even pick us up during night time and drop us anywhere we want. Good service and good stay!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. The owner was very attentive and accommodating. The room was clean and quiet. We were able to try both onsens and it was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. We would definitely book again if we are in Yufuin.

The host is very kind & supportive like superman. The room & bedding was very clean , especially the bedding was soooo comfortable & good feeling. I wanted to get that bedding really.. Hot spring bath was also great! I will visit here again with other members definitely.
