The view was lovely and the breakfast well organised and delicious! The Japanese style bed was comfortable.

Really big tatami room for everyone was nice. View from our room was great. Great service. Helped us sort out a personal issue upon arrival. Breakfast was quite nice. Outdoor evening footbath has a nice view.

This place has been the highlight of my trip to Japan so far. Room with a private onsen and plenty of space. And don't get me started on the breakfast! It's incredible.

“Beautifully traditional”

Fantastic experience! The second we arrived, of course we felt the lovely Japanese hospitality by the staff. The Ryokan was as expected, absolutely beautiful. The private Onsen was super relaxing and calming. The breakfast in the morning was meticulously prepared, so many colours and tastes. Beautiful view of the mountains!

The view of the mountain was stunning! The staff were very friendly and all the accomodations were great.

Wow! What a beautiful ryokan! My new husband’s and I’s first experience in a Ryokan, and we had the best time here. We upgraded our room to a private annex with our own hot spring which was just incredible, especially as the views of Mount Yufu were outstanding. The annex was absolutely spotless and the staff were absolutely incredible, so kind, attentive and accommodating. My husband is pretty picky with his food and the cooking staff were super accommodating, making him some separate dishes more suited to his tastes which was very kind of them to do so. The Ryokan is very accessible from the train station and only a 10/15 minute walk from the main village area, which is beautiful. We would highly recommend this ryokan to everyone. And I encourage to invest in the private annex for a couple!

“Amazing place! Everything is top”

This was one of fav places I stayed in during 2 months in Japan. Food, room, staff, view, onsen all excellent. The dinner was absolutely top class!

Friendly genuine staff. Great big dinner and breakfast. Quiet small onsen. Reception staff gave great free parking tip for the Kinrin Lake area. Helpful staff who carried our big luggages up the stairs to 2nd floor. Had parking onsite. Lane leading to hotel a bit too narrow for my driving confidence.

Beautiful Ryokan in the mountains, away from the crowded center of Yufuin but still just few minutes walking from there. We booked the annex accommodation with private onsen, the room was amazing and just 30 sec from main building for even more intimacy. The staff is super kind and full of attention for us, they delivered my luggage to my room once it has been delivered and they were always helpful with anything and always smiling. They even offered to take a picture of us at the check out before we left on their beautiful terrace. The restaurant where we have the breakfast is small so you can enjoy quietly your delicious traditional Japanese breakfast, we had 2 different breakfast for for 2 days we stayed. And aln of it just in front of the wonderful view of Yufu mountain.

The baths were so lovely and accommodating of kids. The breakfast was amazing and different everyday. We didn't try the dinner as it was quite expensive and our kids can be fussy (and loud...) but it smelt amazing!!!!

“Lovely private onsen with ryokan experience”

Very remote from where the tourists are - I had a car so it was easy to access and easy to drive my big luggage up the hill. Ryokan was very spacious and had all the amenities needed (toiletries, hakata, slippers, extra bedding if needed), and the private onsen was perfect for a dip. Cleanliness was up to standards. Service from the staff was great. I had both dinner kaiseki and breakfast in the main building (only a short 1-2 min walk from my ryokan with private onsen) and it was delicious!

“Healing place for body”

2 nights of high comfort. Waking up with the mountain view from the window and taking an onsen bath is a great start of the day. Highly recommend also if you don't speak any japanese.
