Overview
Located in a quiet cul-de-sac, St Raphael is just 600 metres from York Minster. Restaurants, The National Railway Museum, The Shambles, Jorvik Viking Centre, the Castle Museum and York Rail station are all less than 15 minutes away on foot. With fresh flowers, each light and airy room also has a private bathroom with shower. All themed rooms feature a reading chair, TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Free Wi-Fi internet is available, along with laundry services. Set in a mock-Tudor building dating back to 1900, breakfast is served in the traditional dining room with large windows and fireplace. St Raphael Guest House’s award-winning breakfast features freshly-baked, homemade breads as well as a cooked English Breakfast.

We stayed in the Ebor suite which had it's own entrance and courtyard. The room was very spacious, quiet and comfortable. All staff were very helpful and we loved the fact there was free parking. We were a short walk away from York centre so location was perfect. Lovely, tasty breakfast and we liked the fact we picked what we wanted the night before making it a seamless experience the following morning.

Welcoming staff. Clean room. Hairdryer, towels and toiletries supplied. We were able to leave our luggage on checkout day to spend a day in York and collect it later which helped make our day a lot smoother.

Location is excellent, very handy for city centre, just a few minutes walk away. Easy check-in instructions on arrival. Top floor room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Small breakfast room with friendly staff and we were not hurried.

“Wonderful weekend in York”
The room was cosy and clean. Breakfast was home cooked and very yummy. Location was perfect (for us)...about a 10/15 min walk into York centre. Staff we wonderful and helpful. An overall very enjoyable stay.
