The property was amazing felt so warm and loving, we felt at home. We loved watching the ducks from the back door. The fire was lovely especially when watching a movie

“A peaceful escape from everyday life”

It was peaceful and surrounded by nature. It had all of the amenities that you could possibly require and was so cosy and warm even when it was icy outside. We were able to see lots of adorable animals like deer, bunnies, herons, ducks, various other birds flitting around. It was so relaxing and what made it even better was that it was secluded so you can escape from the world but not too far away from the centre of York for some sightseeing.

If I tell you a secret please promise to keep it…ok this place is perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with what it actually means to relax and be in touch with peace and quiet. I would love to say it’s our secret…but it isn’t. Don’t hesitate to book you will love the solitude…just please keep it special and love it as much as we have.

The hosts were lovely and friendly. The cabin and surroundings were magical. We had everything we needed for a peaceful, comfortable stay. Wildlife everywhere. We felt totally relaxed after two days there. Will be booking again soon.

Lovely location amongst woodland streams and lakes, and a wood panelled cabin with 4 poster bed and a very functional kitchen.

So secluded and the views are peaceful and beautiful. The cabin has everything you need, it’s clean and comfortable. It’s the perfect get away for a relaxing holiday.

We loved the views and sounds of nature. How cosy the cabin felt.

The cabin was fantastic and had everything we needed. The views were amazing and the manager/owner spoke to my husband and was so lovely. The communication before hand was really good and we were told.the cabin would be ready earlier if we wanted. Everything was lovely and clean and well kept

Such an amazing place to getaway and enjoy some peace and quiet. Everything about it exceeded our expectations. The perfect place to unwind. We have already planned to visit 3 more times this year, once in each season.

Beautiful setting. Fabulous lodge. Private. Scenic. Good for fishing. Relaxing and with amenities close by despite how secluded you feel. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

The cabin has lovely decor, is totally secluded and has a beautiful lake view. You would never guess that this little paradise is so close to all amenities and lots of places to visit. We will definitely be back.

The place is paradise! It's absolutely beautiful, a little piece of heaven. The cabin is so cosy and peaceful, the host let us in early and told us not to rush to check out. And offered to drive us to the bus stop to go into York, she was so lovely and her cabin is just amazing!

Absolutely everything very well aquipt piece and quite and away from everything beautiful surroundings.
