“Perfection”
Very cozy and clean apartment. Richard & Leanne are perfect hosts, having thought through everything a guest could want or need from extra linen, towels, clothes rack etc to board games and DVDs. The location couldn't be better and was very peaceful and quiet tucked away from the main strip. All instructions were also very clear and once again, covered everything a guest needed.

“Great location. Need a new bed and pillows”
The flat was well equipped, the location was great and really central. Collection involved parking at, and collecting the keys from a pub about 5-10 minutes walk from the flat which was fine for us.

The only problem we had was with the collection of the keys, as we did not have a car, it was a long walk from train station to the pub to pick up keys and then another shorter walk to the apartment and the same at the end of the holiday. Key collection nearby or in a lock box would have been better for us

The bed is too hard for my liking, but, I understand that would not be everybody’s experience. Personal preferences. I think a weekend stay, is more bearable than a week sleeping in a hard bed. Also the living room couches are not comfortable. Other than that, everything else is perfect. A bit of a walk from picking the keys up. Especially with a weeks holiday baggage, but having a parking space is worth it. We have stayed there at least 10 times in the past including previous owners. We Just hoped the bed & couches may have been changed, but the location is the key to this property. So would book it again.

Location location location! This place is within walking distance to Shambles and everything else, but without the noise and for traffic in front of the apartment.

“A Gem of a find!”
We are returning visitors to this wonderful little gem of an apartment. It is spotlessly clean, cosy, and well fitted out with everything you could need and it's fully accessible to me, being mobility restricted. Hidden away from a main street behind a gated community, it is safe and extremely quiet for solo or anxious travellers. The bed is to die for, so comfy, I may or may not have had an afternoon snooze on one day! Stunning views of the church on Goodramgate and York Minster (max 5 min slow walk) and central to all main shopping areas. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants in the surrounding areas, meaning you don't need to cook - always a plus! For supplies, there is a Tesco's just across from the Hog Roast shop and also a poundland for cheaper water/juice/drinks on the same road. The apartment is just a short (able-bodied) walk from collecting your keys with a Co-op on route. We are returning for the Viking Festival in February!

Lovely spacious apartment in the very heart of York. Minutes away from the Minster, shop, cafes and restaurants. Parking nearby if required.
