Overview
The 3-star Hedley House Hotel & Apartments is situated in a quiet residential area, 500 metres from York Minster and 8-minute walk of York city centre, bus and rail stations. The hotel boasts a 6-people hot tub, and an on-site beauty therapist. Under the same family ownership since 1984, all rooms feature a large flat-screen TV with Freeview channels. Hedley House was tastefully converted in 1984 from 2 Victorian town houses and has now expanded to include 2 interconnecting houses of self-catering apartments and 11 more spacious quality rooms. It has its own private car park, and there is a lounge bar and three dining rooms where award-winning, home-cooked evening meals and breakfasts are served. Food is made from locally sourced ingredients, and light snacks are also available.

“Lovely place, ideal location for Town. We will return”
The room we were given was very spacious and the bed was really comfortable with good quality bedding. The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The spa facilities were an added bonus at an extra cost. The outside lounge area was very relaxing and peaceful. Parking was an extra cost but well worth it and we were able to extend parking to midnight on the day of departure, which meant we could have an extra shopping day. The location was ideal - only 10 mins walk into Town. Early check in was also a good advantage.

“Beautiful boutique hotel in a central location run impeccably.”
Very friendly team running the hotel. Bedroom was very comfortable and spacious with fantastic views over the rooftops. We were on the top floor and there are no lifts but it kept us fit getting up the stairs! Luxurious with a friendly feel. Will definitely return.

This is an excellent non-chain hotel. Great location - nice walk into York. Room clean and comfortable. Shower hreat. Breakfast nice. All in all very pleased with my stay. And parking included!

“Spacious apartment- let down by the extra charges and unresolved issues”
We stayed at Hedley House Hotel Wellness and Spa and had a mixed overall experience. The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and it made a great base for exploring York.

The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and nicely done inside. The lady on the front desk was welcoming and friendly. The outside seating area was such a nice touch!
