“Traditional bed & breakfast accommodation with first class service & amenities.”
Welcoming & friendly. On the A19, the location is excellent, only 15 min walk to city walls, 20 mins to York Minster. The car park is a real bonus, being so close to the centre. Breakfast was freshly cooked & served, good menu selection. Room was comfortable and large, recently refurbished. Loved the bath with claw feet!

Our room was well appointed. Clean with all the amenities one would expect. The staff were more than helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The varied breakfast menu was excellent and presentation to match. We will definitely recommend this accommodation.

“Well located for a visit to York with parking.”
From initial checking in to the end of the stay all staff were polite and very attentive. The room was clean and stocked daily with tea and milk throughout our stay. The breakfast served at a prebooked time provided prompt personal service and was cooked perfectly with fresh produce. Highly recommend The Burton Stone for its service and cleanliness.
