The place was beautiful, the hot tub was lovely. It felt secluded, but still very close to the centre of York, and only £5 to get to in an Uber. We had a lovely couple of days here

“Perfect romantic anniversary getaway”

Both the hut and the garden are beautiful and well maintained. The private hot tub and shared sauna were both amazing, very relaxing! The hut itself is super comfy, lovely and warm, with everything you could possibly need inside. Mark, the owner, is incredibly helpful and really lovely! We really appreciated the added touches like having milk and cold drinks in the fridge for us and extending our stay by a couple hours on our final day. And the friendly farm cats were a big highlight for us. 😻 We will definitely be back! ❤️

I spent many days deciding whether to opt for Alice's little piece of paradise, and ended up booking in the early hours on the day of the stay. This may have created a few problems, but you'd never have known and Alice has gone to the trouble of providing a plant based milk alternative, when I informed her we were vegan in the booking.. Alice herself met us when we arrived and showed us everything we needed to know.. I didn't notice it say anywhere,, but the Sheppard's got included a microwave and toaster, the former which is used within one of the cupboards. It certainly made basic food preparation much easier than I'd expected.. there's also a sizable fridge with a freezer department. Again you can't see in the photos, but there is a TV on the wall at the end of the bed. The hot tub was especially great, big in size and hot in temperature, depending how long it's been heated, with natural log fires heating both the hot tub and the sauna. The sauna itself was the perfect size for two, but is also shared with the other Alice hit that shouldn't be a problem. The hot tub is very private. Opted for Ubers into the city centre, costing around £6 to get in and around £9-11 to get back in the evening.

Just returned from a two night stay here. Nothing else to say other than absolutely fantastic! The friendliest hosts ( including the cat!) Everything you can possible need. Lovely walk into York and your own little piece of paradise tucked away. Can’t wait to return.

The place was amazing, we felt like we were in the film The Holiday, it was idyllic, we chilled as soon as we arrived. The place was peaceful but close enough to York if you wanted to go and see the beautiful city. The host Mark was fantastic.

This is the best holiday holiday ever.New cabin. new hotub snd steam room with barbecue. It idfully private . It is licated in a secret garden like alice in wonderland . I just chilled . Hist left us milk, coffee poda, water , chocolate and more. I wish I could live there. Host is very down to earth helpful gentleman. My wife is quite shy but was really chatty with him . The host shows you everything then leaves you to it unless you need help he fully respects your privacy. Thankyou so much for a wonderful experience. All the best from John and Fiona

The gardens were beautiful, the work gone into maintaining them shows. The bed is comfy and hut is beautifully decorated.
