“Perfect stay”

The whole house is finished to a very high standard. It’s lovely and comfortable with lots of interesting and amusing art. The beds were comfy with Egyptian cotton bed linen. The bathrooms had large, lovely fluffy white towels and shampoo and shower gel was provided. Our host had kindly left us a bottle of Prosecco and biscuits to welcome us. His communication throughout was excellent. The property is 5 minutes walk to the train station and not far from all the city’s historical sites. My two friends and I would love to stay here again if we ever visit York again.

Our stay at 42 is the answer exceeded expectation. The house is stunning inside & out. We parked two SUV’s comfortably on the private drive. The garden/courtyard is beautiful, quiet & a lovely outdoor area to relax in. The kitchen & facilities leave you wanting for nothing. All three bedrooms are spacious & we all agreed that if we could have taken the mattress’s home we would have! The walk into the centre is pleasant & took us fifteen minutes. We hope to stay again in the future!

It’s a really lovely house to have a large group near the train station. Instructions are super clear and you will feel so welcomed. We are so appreciated we got a bit early checkin. Shambles is around 20min walk and a supermarket is just around the corner. The house is very clean and well equipped.

“Beautiful house and perfect location for exploring York”

Absolutely stunning property which is beautifully and stylishly decorated throughout. The beds were super comfy and we were pleased to have two bathrooms! The kitchen was well equipped and the house was comfortable and welcoming throughout. The location is ideal for exploring York and it's only about a 10 minute walk to the train station and a 15 minute walk into town. The host was super helpful, accommodating and responded to messages quickly. We had a gorgeous weekend and would definitely recommend the house - it's beautiful.
