“One night at York”
The room was well organised. AC/heater was working fine. Bathroom can be better fitted. Parking was fine. Nearby so many food options are there.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to others. The overall experience was excellent, with clean and comfortable rooms and a very pleasant atmosphere. What truly stood out was the warm and enthusiastic service from the front desk staff. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. I really appreciate their professionalism and kindness, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I will definitely choose this hotel again in the future.

The room was very spacious, it had all the amenities you could want. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The a/c unit worked beautifully, and the room temp was very comfy.

“Disappointed. Unattentive staff, overcharged my card beyond the booking price, and ignored my request to pay the deposit”
Would not recommend! Very disappointing experience at Wingate by Wyndham – York I booked a room through Booking.com at a certain price, but when I arrived, they charged my card more than the amount listed in the reservation. The front desk staff couldn’t clearly explain the extra charges, and it left me feeling frustrated and misled. I also specifically asked to pay the deposit in cash, but they ignored my request and charged my card anyway. This was very important to me, and I’m extremely unhappy that my preference was disregarded without any proper explanation. The staff were unattentive and unprofessional — they acted like I was bothering them rather than being a welcomed guest. No effort to be helpful, no friendly attitude, nothing you’d expect from a hotel that claims to offer good service. Very disappointed. I will never stay at Wingate by Wyndham – York again, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Front desk manager was very friendly and helpful. At first, he couldn't find our booking due to our late arrival but minutes later he was able to retrieve the booking and got us in quickly. The room was clean and comfortable. Upon leaving, the morning manager checked us out and took a few minutes out of his busy morning to chat with us a bit and update us on the weather we may encounter on our trip home. All in all, I would recommend and would stay again. Thank you for your everything.

The staff was outstanding—so nice, accommodating and helpful with everything! Special shoutout to Pam, Nadia & Dawn. Also dining staff pleasant and helpful and maintenance on any requests immediately. Housekeeping did an excellent job. Comfortable room with extra blankets, great free breakfast, fitness room met my needs and pool was very nice. Not high end luxury but comfortable, homey, accommodating with above average staff very willing to please. Lemon water in the lobby was an appreciated extra.
