“Best stay in Miyakojima”

It was an absolutly wonderful choice to stay in Lapsi! 7 min by walk to the stunning Maehama beach where you can feel the Miyako Blue, clean and quiet home(the cheerful 3 house doggies were what’s the better), very convenient house rules to stay and super kind and heartwarming host. Only thing you need to be prepared is that there’s no mart or convenient store in walking 15 min distance. We shopped groceries on the 2nd day by taxi and cooked light meals. You can use kitchen utencils and clean up. So comfy, loved the atmosphere, highly recommended for those who need to swim in the ocean anytime you want.

We had an amazing stay. The house was clean and well prepared, there are comfortable beds. It is very close to the Maehama Beach which is wonderful. We also experienced lovely encounter with the family living in the house. Even though, there was a language barrier (Japanese/English), we managed to communicate smoothly and also got some amazing recommendations regarding the island. Highly recommended!

The friendliness of the host family was amazing! They were very warm, constantly took care that I had all the necessities and showed me the best spots on the island; even helped me with the bike renting and the drive back to the airport! The room was also very clean and equipped with the essentials.

“Dream stay at Yonaha Maehama”

It's was absolutely adorable stay with the great big family ,which loves animals and is super friendly and welcoming. You literally feel like a family member, and it's so comfortable and so incredible. I fell in love with minimalistic wooden style of the house, place is so rationally built and compact but at the same time very cozy, very clean, very livable, meet various needs and feels very secure and very friendly . Location is great for those who have car and those who doesn't. The closest beach to the house is probably my very favorite in the whole island and such a proximity allows you enjoy easily early morning and late night swimming. Dear Taira family, thank you so much for this amazing time and everything ! I hope to come back !

I chose for the price and excellent location close to Yonaha Maehama beach and it didn't disappoint, a very easy 4-minute walk to the beautiful beach! Though we only went to that beach 1 day, since it rained most days during our stay mid-May being rainy season. Still, I am glad to book the entire 5 nights stay in this guesthouse, Miyakojima islands are pretty easy to drive to even the farthest spot from this guesthouse was less than an hour drive away. The house is beautiful made of wood with high ceiling, have a feeling of nature, space and bright with glass windows. We learned that the house is quite new, just built about a year and half ago. We stayed at a bedroom for 4, which for just 2 people was quite spacious for us. Shower room was very comfortable. During our stay we cooked our dinners and it was comfortable to use their kitchen, they even shared with us whatever they had in their fridge/kitchen, such as condiments, oils and rice. The host family live on the first floor of the house and it was lovely to spend time with them, they are laid back and we enjoyed interacting with parents, kids and the family dog "Taro". Note that the host family speaks Japanese, I speak conversational Japanese and my partner speaks fluent Japanese. The main host is a local artisan and we learned about his craft and local weaving from talking with him. We also got to meet the host friends who run shops at the Marketplace who are all lovely people. I recommend getting to know the host Taira-san, he is super friendly and interested to meeting many people from different places. Plus, kudos to the host Shinya-san and the property manager Takeuchi-san for their recommendations on places for us to visit during rainy days and sunny days.
