Everything from the staff, the facilities, the location. It was very homely and comfortable to stay in :)

Great facilities including free snorkeling gear and bikes. Very friendly host and great place. The blue cave is particularly amazing with so many fish.

Second time in this hostel and it's been as amazing as the first time 2 years ago. Ryota is still super nice, helpful and accomodating, the atmosphere is super chill and the beds are still super comfortable. As my sister said : it feels like staying at a friend's house.

Very nice spot ! Ryota is very kind and willing to help! Also, his breakfast is the best!!! Very happy to have stayed there! Really recommend renting a car while in the island as moving with public transport can be challenging.

I travel a lot in Asia, staying in hostels/dormitories. The welcome I received was definitely the best I've ever experienced. Free breakfast, a free bike for the day, the atmosphere, and the way they arranged to pick me up at the bus station... Thank you so much, I highly recommend it, it makes all the difference to a trip!

A very lovely stay at Ryukyu An. Cozy beds, homey vibe with live music upstairs and a very helpful owner. Definitely a nice and calm area in Yomitan. Good parking space.

Ryuta and his mother were both very helpful and compassionate people. Felt more like a home then a hostel in the best way. Will be going back my next stay in Okinawa:)

“Peaceful place with great facilities”

Really great hostel with a nice atmosphere. Music instruments for people who can actually play, a nice kitchen. The dormitory is nice with slave for luggage’s and comfy beds. Bikes are available for free as laundry and dryer. Not to mention the owner who is really sympathetic and helpful :) as was the volunteer Flora :) Definitely a great place to stay, especially far from the busy Naha

Outstanding stay and facilities, from start to finish

Locate in a quite community and clear directions are shown in the main road. There are supermarket and farmers market nearby so you can buy ingredients and cook your meals in the well-equipped kitchen.

“Amazing hostel”

Friendly staff and guests, good vibes, clean, comfortable, good if you want to explore some nature and cool spots around, good breakfast, free bicycles. I really enjoyed my stay there !

The owner and his mom were so welcome to all guests and offering great atmosphere. He played guitar in the morning that gave me so relax although it was sorry wind outside.

The owner is very friendly person. He took me in in a rainy evening and introduced me politely to other visitors in the house and the facilities. He made us tasty breakfast the other morning, and even volunteered to drive us to the next places we were visiting . The taxi bill would cost more than a night there. It’s a wonderful experience to spend a night there, and get to know the good people!

“The quintessential Okinawa guest house”

I said I would return and indeed I did and it was like going home. Such a warm and friendly welcome and vibe at this place. It attracts great people and lots of musicians. A jam can start anytime. Sit down and beat those drums, Slap the cajon, rattle away in a sanshin or guitar. Riota the boss is so easygoing he'd break his own rules. Checked in early checked out late and still got his fantastic breakfast after sleeping in till midday. Dont miss it!

“My highest recommendation!!”

Everything. Everything about this charming little house in yomitan was great. Great facilities, great bedding, and above all the greatest staff. The beds were very comfortable, with plenty of space for both you and luggage, very personable. The facilities were clean and provided everything needed. Ladies only bathroom was provided, which was much appreciated. The location made for beautiful ambience, especially on the roof terrace. Utilities like bicycles, snorkling gear etc was lent out and provided for free, and all worked well. A definite bonus! There was also two outragously well priced rental cars. With very leaniant risk coverage courtesy of the lovely resident mechanic. A true godsend for the beautiful sights and those who can drive. At the heart of this establishment is the wonderful staff, the host is a kind man with a heart of gold. He was extremely helpful entirely out of his own volition. Helping with making restaurant bookings, offering to drive back and forth, and not least of all making everyone a delicious personalised breakfast/lunch. And lets not forget the little private concert serenade he put on as a goodbye! He is a talented musician on top of it all. He made it an amazing stay and gets my highest recommendation! Thank you for our stay, and to everyone we met!! <3

“Amazing stay - must-stay at place in Okinawa”

Honestly this place itself is a reason to go to Okinawa. I can't put it in nicer words. Everything was absolutely perfect. The host is amazing and always there to help, recommend or explain anything. Really was a pleasure to meet him. Then the breakfast is great, and everything is there at your disposition for you to have an amazing stay. Can't recommend it enough! Also thumbs up to all the great people I've met there!

The host is probably one of the kindest people I have ever met. I have been at many hostels my life, but this top's them all, best Hostel in the world. And the kindest people! You'll understand if you book ;), strongly recommend! Love, Sweden
