“Best place to stay”

Beautiful house, very comfortable beds and facilities, the house is big so you have enough space for your luggage and to move around. The room has a heater/AC. Great location. You can rent a bike just outside the house and take a stroll around the lake. Marie goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and taken care of. She welcomed us with some hot and delicious tea, helped with our bags and even let us keep the big luggage in the living room so we didn't have to carry it up the stairs. She offered to drive us to get something for dinner and then drive us back. She explained which bus we needed to take and drove us to the station. The bathroom is very clean. The showers are super comfortable and have everything you need. Marie reserved the shower for us and put a heater inside before our shower time so we wouldn't be cold. She is always attentive to our needs and you can tell she really loves her job. It's a pleasure to stay there.

“Homely stay”

Slightly quirky but homely family run guesthouse with a lively Chinese lady owner who is very keen to help her guests. Nice quiet location in a wooded area above the lake. Owner gave us a great recommendation for dinner nearby and prepared a lovely breakfast the following morning before waving us off from the front door.

“Perfect host of a lovely house around Fuji”

Lovely house with Fuji views super close to Yamanaka lake. With a host more than sweet and helpful. I stayed there for one chilly night outside but nice and warm inside. Because I came by foot and it was freezing cold outside she prepared me quickly some warm waffles and a tea, it was such a lovely welcome And in the morning the host was more than nice to drive us with her car to the best spot to take pictures with Fuji san during sunrise. It was a lovely experience

The host is very nice and tell us about her life in Japan. She keeps the place clean. We have a lot of shopping and needed space to repack, she lets us use her dining room so that we don’t have to carry our things upstairs to our rooms.

The owners, Marie & her husband were very friendly. Marie made tea and gave us fruits during our stay. They are very hospitable.

I would highly recommend staying in this lovely pension. I had a fantastic time. The hosts were so kind and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here. Lake Yamanako is a must see. They have free bikes to take to cycle around the lake.

I would highly recommend staying at this pension. It is a lovely peaceful getaway to relax and enjoy the lake. They are an absolutely lovely couple. The accommodation was fantastic and in a lovely part of Japan. The room was lovely and traditional with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast and the tea in the evening were out of this world. Thank you so much again. When I am back in Lake Yamanako, I will definitely stay here. The kindest couple I have ever met.

The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The warmth and hospitality provided a wonderful start to our stay. The facilities, although a bit old, were maintained and clean. It was nice, that we could use bikes any time and for free. Overall, I highly recommend pension for anyone seeking budget-friendly lodging with a personal touch.

The hostess is very friendly, helpful, and considerate. We arrived very late, she waited for us, and got up early to take us to see the sunrise over Mt. Fuji. In the morning she took us to the hospital to get medicine. Excellent service! Thank you very much. ありがとうございます

Friendly host who offered us baked sweet potato and a pot of green tea. Love the hospitality. We saw deers outside of the property.
