Hotel was walking distance from the ski resort gondola and close to two very nice onsens and the onsen street. The cafe room had a really pleasant fireplace.

We were unaware that breakfast was included, so that was a lovely surprise. The property is set in a beautiful location, a short walk to the restaurants and ski fields. The hosts were amazing, and very helpful with assisting us with onsen and restaurant bookings.

Really enjoyed our stay. Location was good, just a short walk to Zao Ropeway (or 2 min drive). Room was lovely and clean. We were very happy.

there is no pick up or drop off services to ski lifts or bus terminal (due to the timing), i think this is the least they can provide considering the money that we are paying for, that there is only basic facitilies in the hotel.

Beautiful, spacious cottage blanketed in snow. Great bath. Good cooking facilities. Large fridge. Reasonably close to ski lifts (under 10 min walk). The staff were very nice and gave us a lift to and from the bus station. The breakfast was simple but enjoyable.

Beautiful spot, tucked in the trees and a 10 minute walk to the chairlift for skiing. Our room was really nicely renovated, and comfy.

“A nice and relaxing day stay”

The hotel is comfortable and peaceful. The staff are really helpful. The view outside the hotel is great. No onsen but coupons are given to use the public ones. I don’t recommend to buy a ticket for using the open bath in Hotel Hammond as it’s small and not attractive.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay a great one. The food at the cafe was delicious too.

Spacious dormitory room good for our family of 5. Hotel common area is clean, modern and nice. There is a 3 level of observatory built near the hotel that provide a good view of the Zao mountain and the surrounding areas.

Spacious, complete with all necessasities and most important, warn during the cold winter. Staff is really kind and helpful, also love the delicious breakfast, as well as the cold white view from the windows. Will certainly come again in the near future.

“Beautiful stay”

The hospitality was amazing and all staff members where super helpful and friendly, despite us not knowing Japanese super well but the staff always did well to communicate with us, the cafe was super cute and had some really delicious food. The room we stayed in was quite spacious and super comfortable even had a beautiful view from the window every morning! It was also in walking distant to some nice onsens, foot baths and other delicious restaurants! Definitely recommend if you're wanting to stay there in the colder months.

The room was spacious and very comfortable and it was within walking distance to three onsens in Mt Zak.
