“Perfect stay for a Yala Safari tour”

Excellent stay for a Yala Safari! We stayed one night and Udara was an excellent host, ensuring we had a tasty meal both nights, organising everything for the safari in the morning and being the most fantastic tour guide (a total bonus!). The room was perfect for what we needed - comfortable and AC worked great (which we definitely needed given the temperatures). There's a communal area (which looks like a few rooms use) and we were served a great homemade breakfast and dinner here. Highly recommend if you're wanting to check out a Yala safari early morning (they even pack you a lovely breakfast to eat on the safari), as the location is close for this and Udara ensures you are there early to get quick access to the park. Such a lovely, welcoming family and Udara really aims to ensure your stay is a great one!

Udara was extremely helpful and accommodating, was a wonderful host. We enjoyed a meal with his family that was lovingly prepared by his sister, wife. His aunty and cousins joined in too. A very enjoyable evening

I had a very nice stay. The place was clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind and helpful. During my stay, I was able to see a leopard on safari, and they also took me to a beautiful spot to watch the sunset. They kindly accommodated my request to see how dinner was prepared, which made the experience even more special and unforgettable. I would definitely recommend this place to others, and I would stay here again if I visit in the future.

He recommended a local restaurant which we enjoyed, helped us organise onward travel as well as organising our safari trip and coming in the jeep as our guide. We had a walk through the local village and the locals were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend!

Udara and hi wife were lovely hosts - the food was exceptional. Place is super clean and quiet. Washing machine available if needed. It is a shared bathroom with the other room though - we were lucky enough to be the only guests but there are 2 rooms that share one bathroom. The accommodation was very convenient for the yala safari - would definitely reformed.

He arranged tuk tuk's for us, arranged for our Safari into Yala National Park, nothing was too much trouble.

The villa was very modern and clean

Udara was the perfect host, he attended to our every need and the meals prepared by the family was excellent and tasty. We also organised our Safari at Yala National Park with Udara. They provided us with a picnic breakfast as we left very early morning. Ideal accommodation for families. Every was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

Udara was really welcoming, friendly and helpful. His mom prepared great meals for us. The location is good and the accommodation is very spacy and clean. This was the first of about 10 different accommodations we had in Sri Lanka that had a great water pressure in the shower (and the water got warm well) so that was a nice surprise as well. Udara arranged a safari for us at Yala National Park, which was an amazing experience.

Very clean, nice rooms, comfortable bed, host was fantastic and arranged a half day safari for us for 40,000 rupees with online booking so we were the second car into the park allowing us to see leopards ! Lovely family house, with laundry facilities included which was a great help ! He went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay.

“Chilled village stay - gateway to Yala”

Udara was a great host and took care of all our needs from safari to temple visit to food and trips to a great coffee shop. His family were warm and hospitable.

All positive reviews you will read below are fully legit. Let me add that we came here with two very young kids and had an amazing time so it's family proof for sure. Udara is just the best host you can imagine and besides all the activities he arranges that you can read about in other reviews, he also somehow manages to always be one step ahead. We forgot about everything there is to forget but Udara fixed all our problems. He for example brought a bag that we had forgotten, brought me to an ATM, arranged a diaper, and, he even arranged me an extra safari on the same day so that I could see a leopard. I could go on and on. And everything he did was with a big smile, and without extra costs 😀. If you are still doubting, use this review to make up your mind and go!
