“Exceptional - definitely one we will not forget!”

Tribe Yala exceeded our expectations, although prices are a little high compared to other properties in Sri Lanka you definitely get a wow factor and the tented jungle safari experience with location (complete with plung pool ... what's not to love!) is what you are paying for. From our entire 2 weeks in Sri Lanka this was way far the most expensive place we stayed but you save so much in other areas of the country it was definitely worth splashing out a little more on a couple of nights here. We arrived to be told we were the only guests for the first night and so they arranged a private 'jungle' dining experience for us, which was fabulous. The tented accommodation is special and the staff were always helpful and attentive at all times. Our full day Safari was amazing and we saw everything, 2 leopard, so many elephants & their calfs, a sloth bear and so many other birds and animals. Both the guide and driver were exceptional . Dinner and breakfast were very good too with the overall experience being something special. Breakfast when not on Safari is served up on a platform in the trees with views for miles - definitely one we will not forget!

An amazing experience, the atmosphere was great. The safari guide Thushan was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic which made the safari and afternoon walk a great time!

The room had musky smell and the food were made from canned product. Not worth the money we paid.

Location is very rural and felt like you were in the wilderness. There is even monkeys who sit outside the tents which we loved.

We treated ourselves to two nights of Glamping at Tribe Yala, and it was a great experience. The tent/room was luxurious, and the private pool was an absolute treat. The staff were super friendly, and the food at the restaurant was delicious and generous. Whilst not exactly cheap, the food/drink prices were quite reasonable given we were a captive audience in a remote location. The view from the viewing deck-above the trees- for breakfast and a sunset cocktail was a particular highlight. We loved the two guided walks we did from the resort, where we were able to spot a couple of crocs, elephant tracks, and an abundance of birdlife.

The spacious luxury tent was perfect for our family of 6 and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome at all times. The view for breakfast in the treehouse was a fantastic experience that was unexpected.

From the pick up from the road in the jeep to the very end was amazing, staff very friendly and attentive, safari booked through tribe was great and easy, luxury tent in the middle of the jungle with a private pool was unreal, food was delicious and catered to vegetarians, special requests were met and a very convenient WhatsApp service while you are there for your every need, would 100% recommend tribe

Great location right next to Yala National Park. The staff were extremely friendly / accommodating and went out of their way to arrange an early check in and organise my safari tours. The tents themselves are spectacular given the location with every amenity you would need

“Tenting close to Yala”

The staff were all super attentive and willing to support with any and all queries. The room was a decent size with an outdoor pool. Food was excellent - breakfast after the morning safari was greatly appreciated. I also did an all-day safari and had the wonderfully knowledgeable head ranger, Dinesh, and an excellent driver for the day. We managed to see a sloth bear, leopards and elephants, as well as many other animals, thanks to their observations and patience. Trust them; they know what they’re doing!

“Luxury Safari stay just outside of the National Park!! Perfect in every way !”

The location was amazing!! It felt so secluded and reflective of the wildness we were hoping to feel on the outskirts of the national park. The glamping tent exceeded all expectations and was spotlessly clean with a sparkling pool out front ! Restaurant and drinks were equally as wonderful - staff were absolutely beautiful and so accommodating!!

We loved the breakfast and our room was lovely. The safari we booked through Tribe was amazing, our guide was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and we really loved our full-day safari experience with him. They also set up an amazing lunch for us, which was a great touch.

“A great place to relax!”

By the time we reached Yala, we were a bit "safaried" out. We had already seen so many that all we wanted to do was relax at this point. Tribe Yala was perfect for this. A private plunge pool in the wilderness was just what the holiday called for at this point. Dinner was outside under the stars and we had breakfast one morning up in one of their treehouses overlooking the jungle. It was amazing. The room was large, fully stocked, great internet and a large bathroom which feel partially inside and outside amongst nature. The road into the camp is rough, so the team meats you off the main road and assist with luggage and transfer. This is part of the adventure and fun.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and super accommodating throughout our stay. They made a very big effort to ensure that my wife and I had an amazing honeymoon and even booked a candle lit dinner for the two of us and gave us a lovely cake! They also helped sort out our safari very easily and made sure that we were able to meet our driver so that we could carry on our travels

Very friendly staff. We stayed in the Tusker tent which was very large: 1 king bed and 2 double beds. The room itself is probably in need of a refurbish soon. Dinner and breakfast at the hotel was very good. We did a full day safari which was probably a bit much with young kids - we should probably have done a half day tour.
