YOU MUST STAY HERE ! This was one of the amazing stay i had in Sri Lanka. I guess this is the only reasonable glamping place you can get . The staff were amazing ! You get to choose dinner as well . They had lovely lovely dinner that you should try . Anyone who wants to go to Yala National Park can stay here . One in a kind experience. The room was very clean with attached toilet .

Staff were amazing and really friendly, made checking in and out very efficient and easy, Food was also AMAZING, we had the BBQ in the evening which was awesome, (also best soup I've ever had as a starter) also breakfast was great Location was perfect for doing yala national park trip and the staff arranged it for us and the whole process was really easy. Wish we stayed longer to enjoy some more time at the site as it was really lovely.

The tent was one of the most amazing places we’ve stayed while in Sri Lanka, it really made the safari experience feel even more authentic! The staff were really lovely, especially the staff member who helped us go looking for the croc each night and Janake our safari leader! They both really made our time there special. The food was really amazing, especially our meal by the campfire!

“A hidden gem that needs to be treasured 💎”

Ranakeliya Lodge is one of those hidden gems in Yala. Location is so quite and serene it’s the perfect place to escape civilization. It’s also roughly 20 mins from the Yala National Park. Coming from a hospitality background I must say the staff are simply star classed. Madushanka, Chamindu and the entire team were all warm, welcoming and attended to all our requests/ questions. They all made us feel right at home. They even arranged our Yala Safari trips and the guides/ drivers were all on time. The guides somehow made sure we saw 3 leopards which we were not able to see the first time we went and they were so professional. We spent 3 nights here and it was really hard for us to say goodbye. We highly recommend Ranakeliya Lodge and definitely would come back 🫶🏼

We absolutely loved our stay, it was such a beautiful location and the accommodation was amazing and very beautiful! The staff were incredible and so welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the tent option which was very large and also had air-conditioning which was fantastic, we loved the semi-outdoor shower. We had the BBQ dinner which was phenomenal, so delicious and beautifully presented and extremely filling, the creme brulee was one of the best I've ever eaten! We did a morning safari and the staff had breakfast ready for us on our return and checkout. Would 100% recommend this location for anyone looking for a unique and beautiful stay in Yala in a quieter location. We were able to be dropped off and picked up for/from our safaris easily as its very close to Yala National Park.

“Would stay here again in a heartbeat”

I highly recommend Ranakeliya Lodge. The staff, the location, the room, the food were all fantastic and beyond my expectations as it was incredibly affordable. The staff were friendly and attentive but not overbearing, the food was delicious, filling and reasonably priced, the rooms were spacious, comfortable and had great privacy and the lodge itself felt elevated and luxurious with stand alone rooms/tents. We did not book the safari but on second thought we should have as they provided a much better experience compared to the one we found on the internet as we heard from the 2 other guests who had a more relaxing safari experience. Shan sent us videos of leopards as well and they took us on a tour around the lodge multiple times, including the nearby rice field.

“The most memorable stay in Sri Lanka”

Staying at this Lodge was a dream and I’m sure I’ll be coming back one day. Everything was well thought out from the beginning to the end, the tents had all amenities (incl. A/C and private outside shower), were located in beautiful nature, and felt very private. Special thanks to: * Janaka - our safari guide who spotted, showed, and described over 35 animals and birds and was so energetic and engaged throughout the full day * Madushan, Chamindu, Bandara - for exceptional care and attention to detail during the whole stay, as well as some of the best meals that we had in Sri Lanka. Food was so delicious, juices very fresh, and portions very generous. They also remembered little details as our favourite fruit, curries, and juices which was a nice addition. * Suranga - our driver that brought us all the way to Arugam Bay after the stay in the lodge

Absolutely amazing stay - our lodge was clean, cool and modern, lovely outdoor space to explore and the meals by candle and firelight were an experience we will never forget! The safari was expensive but it’s a private jeep and Supun was the most friendly and enthusiastic guide we felt it was worth every penny! There is a lovely little restaurant round the corner if you need a cheap lunch too.

Everything ! Amazing stay from start to finish. Welcomed straight from the car, welcome drinks, bags taken to amazing safari looking tent ! Lovely accommodation with a/c so doesn’t get too warm and lovely outdoor style bathroom where the roof is transparent and we spotted a monkey in the trees! Romantic outdoor bbq under the stars in the evening. Booked our safari through them also which was amazing! Lovely staff couldn’t do enough for us! A must stay! Highly recommend

Our host Rashmi was amazing,very kind and helpful. She arranged private transfers for us from Ella to the lodge and then to Negombo for very good prices. Also helped us organise a Safari and a BBQ garden dinner which is a must when you go there. Also she responded to all my special requests and there was a beautiful surprise for my partner on our arrival. Our tent was clean and cozy,very spacious with 2 double beds and working AC, cute shower withhot water tap,breakfast was nice and was adjusted to our likings. Had a nice bonus with the Little croc visiting the pond in the night. Couldn't reccommend more.

“Perfect place in Yala”

This is our favourite place in Sri Lanka. The room, the food, the staff were the best we’ve had by a mile. Nice little walk into the lake and meet so many friendly locals and there’s even a crocodile in the accommodations pond🤣 If I’m lucky enough to ever come to Yala again I would book again straight away. Also we booked the safari through them which was just incredible. Can’t recommend enough

“Great tent for the real safari feeling.”

We had a great stay at the lodge. The safari tent was beautiful and it was spacious and airconditioned. We loved the privacy of our deck and saw two owls in the bushes. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the food was great, we even got Happy New Year cookies and snacks.
