The staff were amazing, the food was all delicious. The highlight was the 2 safaris we did, where we saw leopards, elephants, bears, crocodiles! Out guide Earl was so knowledgable about all the animals and birds. Could not recommend more!

Loved the ambience here - Rustic charm. Rooms are very comfortable with great ac and shower. All the staff were friendly and our guide Nikki and our driver were brilliant. Nikki answered so many questions and gave so much information on our safari. I hadn’t realised that a lot of other safaris don’t include a guide and just have a driver. We saw jeeps pulling up with the occupants not knowing what they were looking at! The food is so delicious and so much of it - you won’t go hungry. Loved all the resident dogs too

“Highlight of our holiday!”

We had the most incredible stay at Camp Leopard It was truly a magical overnight stay and without a doubt the highlight of our entire Sri Lankan holiday. The food was absolutely delicious, and they were so thoughtful in catering for our three little ones — even surprising them with s’mores around the campfire, which they loved! The property itself is stunning and really makes you feel like you’re camping deep in the jungle under the stars — such a unique and immersive experience. Highly recommend!

The staff and professionalism of the whole experience at Camp Leopard was amazing. Our Safari guide Nikki was just fantastic- giving us such insight into the animals. We did a half day and full day and were so lucky to have private tours both days so were treated like princesses.

“Excellent safari provider — hospitality a little odd”

Reasonably priced compared to alternatives in the area. Our half day (evening) Safari guided by Nikki was great and we noted that most other vehicles in block A didn’t have a guide and hence struggled to spot wildlife. Some food was very good - especially the curries at lunch. We loved the set up for the dinner by the bonfire. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly.

Amazing experience with lifetime memories. Everything is up to expectations and more because they focused on small details that makes all the difference. They knew our names before we arrived, they knew I am dairy intolerant, the whole place is simple and at the same time it has an Indiana Jones feeling and we had the chance to see the Leopards so it was truly a wonderful experience. The place is very clean and the food was excellent ! Thank you very much!

Camp leopard was a wonderful tented property near to the entrance to yala national park. You have to book your safaris with them once you e booked at camp. The standard of vehicle and guiding wa superb. The meals in camp were excellent and the meals out on safari were also fab. The camp also organised to go to Bundala bird reserve for a morning bird safari and then dropped us at our next hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. We loved every minute of being with them. We saw leopard, sloth bear, elephants and plenty more. The bird life is amazing.

“Peaceful stay near Yala Park”

Lovely scenic setting. So peaceful. The tent we stayed in made you feel you were in with nature, but was clean and AC was a nice touch. Loved all the dogs too. ‘Rash’ was a great tour guide around The National Park. The evening meal was fantastic with Sri Lankan food and the chance to cook your own Hoppers and smoores. Nice touch.

We had a great stay! The Tents are comfortable and clean, felt very luxurious. The staff is so attentive and friendly, especially the Managers is very detail oriented and so helpful! He really ensures that you have the best time. Our Guide for the Safari was amazing and so knowledgeable! He and the drive both made sure all the animal encounters where in a respectful and ethical manner. We can definitely recommend Camp Leopard! (The food is absolutely amazing too!)

Camp Leopard was a highlight of my trip to Sri Lanka. Although i didnt see a leopard the two other couples staying at Camp Leopard did. This isnt a resort experience, but thats exactly what i wanted. The staff put conservation as a priority which really appealed to me. I wanted a genuine safari experience. It truly was a glamping experience and the team were delightful. Would definitely stay with Camp Leopard again.
