It's a real 5-star hotel - everything was simply amazing. Worth the money 1000%

“Great place to stay especially for those who visit Yakushima for the very 1st time.”

It’s actually only a stone away from Miyanoura Port. Its interior is much newer and modern than its outlook. And staff, especially Suzuki-san at front desk, were very helpful, going above and beyond. Onsen facility was much bigger and newer, as well as more modern than expected.

The staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was good but everything was finished at 8:15 and they didn't renew it.

The staff were attentive, bento boxes great. Vegetarian food was really appreciated and consistently good, but preferred the Japanese menu to western style.

Beautifully renovated inside, fabulous onsen and meals. Very friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance from the ferry. View from the ocean room was great.

“Wonderful!”

The location is gorgeous, we chose a sea view room and it didn't disappoint. The buffet breakfast is delicious and varied and was a great way to fill ourselves up on food before a long hike. We really appreciated the facilities onsite, in particular the laundry and cafe, which we used to stock up on coffee and snacks to take on hikes. The staff are so lovely and helped us to book a hire car (thank you again!). As well as being a beautiful location, it's well situated - it's easy to walk to local restaurants, there's a supermarket right nearby that's open until 9pm, and it's a short walk to/from the ferry terminal if your transport is via sea.

The location is perfect for arriving with the ferry and the views are wonderful. The staff was attentive and friendly and made sure our stay was perfect.

Great location in Yakushima Newer hotel, with cold & hot spring + sauna. Hiking gear rental FWIW Note: a furo not onsen (aka not hot spring water)

The buffet breakfast was superb and the staff were particularly useful.

The location is excellent, especially for guests without a car. It offers easy access to the port, a supermarket, and several restaurants. The hotel restaurant also provides good dinner options.

“An exceptional hotel providing the best experience”

This was the most exceptional hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was pure luxury. The booking was half board which included not only an incredible buffet breakfast but a seven course dinner of Japanese food. The onsen was available almost all day and was a welcome part of each evening before dinner. The staff were incredibly helpful with all of my questions and always had information to hand knowing that most travellers were there to visit the trails. The hotel has a wonderful cafe in the lobby where you can enjoy fresh bakes with coffee. All in all an incredible experience. An added bonus is its proximity to the ferry and the bus stops in front of the hotel.

“Great staff, avoid the very old and fusty forest iew rooms”

This hotel is in transition - all the modernised facilities are good, but the old rooms (forest view) are very old. Great service from the staff, they moved our room when it was clear that the airconditioning was not good and the window didn't open. Very nice onsen, good food.
