The keypad access was very clear and took only a few minutes. The room was pristine as was the communal kitchen area.

I loved this place! It is a really friendly guest house with all the facilities you need to stay comfortable and it distance short walk from Yakumo station. There is a nice lounge where you can have a chat with others, the bathroom was super clean. They also have a cafè right next the entrance of the house where they make breakfast and lunch. I felt like home. I will recommend for families, couples or solo travellers.

The location of the guesthouse was so good. It was within walking distance from the station, and around the house were many beautiful tourist attractions. The tranquillity of the house was amazing, too. It provided me with such a peaceful time.

Great little boarding house, pretty basic facilities but everything we needed. Checking in process was a bit tricky, and we never saw an owner. But facilities we clean and comfortable

“Extraordinary building”

Very new Annex with 4 rooms and common area to cook, eat and meet on ground floor. Upper floor offered washing and drying machines and workspace. When we entered there was a very nice smell of wood and other natural materials. There was a beautiful fireplace to be operated in wintertime. Amazing! Bed was so comfy and room was very spacious compared to standard japanese accommodations.

We loved the time we spent in Yakumo and Sento was the perfect hostel.

“A genuinely authentic experience”

The hosts and staff were amazing. It was clean and very comfortable. They also helped plan so many activities which were unique and soul fulfilling. It’s also very central but if you need you can grab one of their bikes to get around.

Clean and comfortable with good facilities. Lots of space to store luggage and free rental bicycles available. Very quiet place but a nice place to get away from crowds, the property offers a variety of experiences which sound interesting

The location is really village place compare to the city, whoever want to experience the different it is not bad to stay.

It was a beautiful and traditional place to stay in Japan. The futons were comfy and the room was sizeable with a heater / air conditioner and 24hr access.

Nice historical building with a garden

The young staff could speak fluent English. It's the only place during my 2-week holiday in Hokkaido we did not need the google translate app to complete the check-in. There's a shared kitchen that we could make a simple cooking.

Hostel was previously a bath house and is one of the coziest places I stayed in Japan so far. Nice beds, big living room (includes a small kitchen), clean showers and toilet, has a garden, and the staff is incredibly friendly! I would definitely visit again!
