“Great stay at Barcelo Maya Beach! (not actually at the Tropical)”

Staff at the Beach's buffet were excellent, and so were the staff at the Kids Club (which they call Barcy Club). Food at the buffets and snack bars were both great, with lots of options, including dedicated vegetarian areas. Even without paying for extras, there are many places to explore across the 4 middle resorts! My kids and I were also very intrigued by the wildlife, which is well-documented, and there are tons of birds and iguanas that share the space with all of these random humans. Lastly, there are 3-4 cenotes just across the main highway from the resort, with Cenote Azul being a very cost-effective option. These can easily be walked to by adults & teens, or it's a short taxi ride with little ones.

The beaches were beautiful, the facilities were always clean and the housekeeping was excellent

We stayed at the Maya Palace. My kids loved the pool. The location was very convenient. You could stay at the pool and walk to the beach. The room was very comfortable, with plenty of space for a family of four.

We enjoyed the beach with natural shade from the palm trees, the spa/fitness centre, the water sports (amazing snorkelling and a truly catamaran outing), the night shows were entertaining . The staff was very kind and the service excellent throughout our stay. Our children loved all the entertainment and activities which were offered .

The breakfast was good and variety of to choose from. The resort has a great amount of attractions that family can enjoy without leaving the resort. Generally, it was a good experience for me and my family.

Beautiful, well maintained resort. Comfortable beds. Lots of facilities to enjoy vacation. Several À la carte restaurants (hotel made reservations for dinner before our arrival) Multiple pools

“I used to be loyal Barceló customer but this hotel did not match the standards and Barceló essence that I knew.”

The beach. The spa and the gym were very good, nothing compared to the different mindset of the rest of the hotel.

The facilities, beach, and people were excellent. We had a problem with a super noisy neighbour, and they solved it quickly and professionally. The rooms were clean and service-friendly. excellent hotel.

It's a 5 stars hotel but I didn't get a 5 stars service. We waited almost 1 hour and a half for the check in, it's unacceptable . It took me less time the immigration process at the airport with a line of 100 people. The same day the lady at the reception of "marenostrum" restaurant didn't let me in because I was using shorts and not long pants. So I had to go back on foot to my room that was 1km away to find the only long pant I had in my luggage. I could accept it in a very fancy restaurant, not in the resort's """""""restaurant""""""" . I'm on vacation, in a resort, I don't even need to put long pants in the luggage. The food quality is poor. To complete my review, I needed the liquid for my contact lenses , they sell it to me at 20 euro, 5 time the normal price. Mexico is full of expensive 5 stars resort, just go in another one.
